Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Bad period

I made a big mistake when I applied here but I hoped that this year would be better than the previous one.
For those who have been here longer than me - is this one of the worst years in this company?

Same here. If the EO SVP has to micro manage a factory yield monthly report. You know this company is in deep trouble.

It is more than just your personal felling, it is about your family and how this effects them, I always believe this company would survive all fhey all the hardships and come our head,
I sit here with my my grand daughter and not only wonder about g3m but the world.

Like previous post the work force doesn’t have the urgency to help themselves. WFH may work in some things but in a factory . It gives others away out from doing their jobs,

When the EO SVP needs to approve hiring of operator or contract worker, it shows the company is in deep trouble.

@2miu+1le90TKE The answer is most definitely not. No evidence otherwise. Will likely get worse until new leadership steps in.

The leadership must have been hit hardest on their bonuses... Will they be capable at the helm to turn this ship around in 2023??

I sure am glad I retired in 2021. Those AIP numbers are just a reflection of how horrible and vindictive Monish is at setting the targets

Layoffs + highest ever Q4 22 /Q1 23 attrition rate +Hiring Freeze = more work for everyone, so not all bad , no more WYW after May, only disabled and vulnerable workers,

Right now, all new hires including hourly workers, need to get Tireman approval. If this is not Bad period, then I don't know what else is.

Really pity the employees. Not only they lost out on GESPP with the share decline, now they are hit with deep cuts in AIP. Truly going through bad period now. OP should get your answer.

Those AIP payouts are a joke. It was never like that back in the days when the co was high performing.

The 2022 AIP payout reflects the company performance. Every employee had lesser payout from planned. Ouch.

CBG 23%
TEBG 41%
HCBG 49%
SIBG 84%

Yes, these last few years have been the worst 4 or 5 years in company history, easily. Next worst in recent memory would have been around 2008-2009 in the great recession.

Mike Roman and his executives have been an utter disaster of a leadership team, destroying the last vestiges of what made 3M special for both society-at-large and 3M employees.
