Manager survey

Let’s just run a survey to evaluate if your manager is good or worthless. Use the up arrow for good and down for bad. We will atleast have a cumulative data of overall quality of manager

I am sure HR is aware of this site and are keeping an eye. If not just bring it up in one of the all hands

Do you think HR or mgt/leadership even look at this site??

Nice initiative and this should now be talked at the all hands meeting rather than the GF collected data where most of the data is tweaked because of paranoia.

I told a few of my peers about this thread. Think it is spreading now before our fake financial statement is published

Wow, someone's really cheating the score. Just jumped from -27 to -51 in an hour.

Surveys are anonymous and stated in the email. Yes, some managers do seek retribution, if they receive low scores and negative comments. Depending on your writing style, you can be outted. If you fear retribution, do not leave comments.

Just fyi …. For those who don’t know the manager surveys are not Anonymous. Now technically they never claim to be, but it’s heavily implied that they are -they aren’t. When I learned this a few years back I was stunned - but as it was pointed out to me, nowhere on the survey does it say it is …. Be careful What you write…. The loop ho-e I found…. I just do not fill it out anymore. While it’s not Anonymous its also not mandatory…. And they get dinged for low numbers or people not filling out survey

Looks like people are scared here as well. Out of 768 views only 31 votes.

There are some great managers but they are in the weird twisted deformed mutant Globalfoundries system. So their managering talents get stomped out by the oppressive and just wonky system in place. They can and will “hack,” the system when they see a loop ho-e that can be exploited. It’s actually a sign of a good manger at GF. But then of course the vast majority follow the system by the book and just by virtue of doing so become horrendously out of touch and make poor decisions/leadership. It’s hard to be a good leader when you know what you are doing is wrong.
So overall majority are terrible managers (not personality or character, just manager leadership skills). But there are a very few amount (rare but they do exist) of gems in there too.

Mine is the only one who follows company policies exactly so he comes across as mean and had terrible ratings

You can always spot the top managers, they never get promoted because they care more about their employees than kissing up to their own manager.

My manager is really good, but our department is in a larger organization where my manager has to constantly look over his/her back because of equal colleagues being jealous of his/her success and positive ratings, while being in a management role less time. The equals look at my manager as someone who is threatening their upward trajectory, even though my manager is way more effective at being a leader.

+1 from me. My manager is probably one of the best managers for sure. I knew he scored in the 90s for every question except the company ones. I will miss him though as he is supposed to go on a night shift soon. I guess the four shift full rotation was too much for him on a personal level and he asked to go full night shift. I work day shift and I can say he never sleeps so I completely understand.
I have asked him hundreds of questions over the last couple years and he has always helped or coached me when I requested it even if It was not directly related to work. His motto was something like "If you aren't in the game outside of work and too busy worrying about outside problems, how can He expect to see 110% at work." Literally any problem he would try and offer guidance or find a resource for me. Above and beyond always. To the module getting him he will bend over backwards for you as long as you are strait and honest. Do not ever break that trust and you will truely have gained one h3ll of a manager.
