Pretty sure Richard is the long version of Di-k.

“Everyone knows the facts are there. Ask anybody who is still left that has 15+ years at Oxy.” I think he asked you, but you kept not answering.

I think @8ips+ had it right the first time.

"I’m always open to good arguments and to debating facts, but when you just throw around insults and accusations without providing any specifics, it says more about you than the person you’re insulting."

If I am reading all of these post correctly, I don’t think the other poster ever claimed to have any facts, and stated he/she didn’t have a position on VH. They were asking the angry person for facts on their opinion.

By the way, I think the rules say that if you include the name of an individual, correct or not, your post may be taken down eventually. Don’t know for sure though. We’ll see.

Someone is a little angry. Don’t know who you are Richard, but me thinks you’re in trouble. I would love to be a fly on the wall during their next staff meeting.

Sorry Charlie, not HR. Also not taking any position on VH. My only point is you haven’t provided any specifics to back up your position. I could claim those you mention didn’t have those opinions, how is anyone to know, unless “everyone knows”, or maybe we are just supposed to trust an anonymous poster. Last, you forgot to mention SC, undoubtedly the company’s best CEO. What did he think?

P. S. To attempt to make a point by claiming someone works for HR is just like saying “everyone knows”. You again offer no specifics, but try to disparage the person not the point. And to say someone contaminates the board if they disagree with you?? Are you 12 years old?

Let’s try this. Please provide 1 or 2 actions VH took while head of CA operations that were bad for the company. Then we can have an adult debate.

Another HR joker trying to contaminate this board. Who did you speak to, all the other HR people? Don't see any of your sources cited hypocrite. It's a fact that Ray Irani never wanted VH anywhere near upper management because of her incompetence, and neither did John Winterman nor John Morgan.

@9qvf+1ig0Itbp, so many specifics in your post, I will be up all night studying it. You did fall back on the tried and true “everyone knows it”. But I have spoken to many employees with 15+ years that have different opinions than yours. Maybe your confusing facts with opinions?

Everyone knows the facts are there. Ask anybody who is still left that has 15+ years at Oxy. She also messed up California Operations, and was often too busy attending the events in Los Angeles. Many other were much more knowledgable and better leaders than VH. You should wonder why she was the choosen one.

Consistency and incompetence were my impressions. VH is still the stupidest CEO, who got ahead by incompetence in the Rockies and elsewhere, on the backs of people who actually did work. What a ducking id--t.

@ 4zgf+1ig0Itbp, what does it matter what our representatives look like? What if the person that “looks like” you the most, shares none of your values, and the person who shares your values looks the least like you? I’m a 60 year old overweight black male. I will glad to vote for a 40 year old thin Hispanic female if she shares my values. Or do you think that people who resemble each other all think the same? Very strange comment.

@2jlw+1ig0Itbp Do you know the difference between a government institution and a private company? Government should represent the people and look like the people they govern.

This time I was disturbed and interested in equal measure. A previous post said our CEO looked happier this week than in two years. My take away from the call is the Kool-Aid she is drinking must have some good medication in it. As for DIB that's in it's own dimension. I guess it will all collapse in on itself eventually.

What is wrong with hiring and retaining the most highly qualified and valuable employees? If people of a certain race, gender, or other preferences are statistically less ready than that is not a factor for industry or academics. Society must learn how to make things more equitable by removing bias and providing opportunity way before people get to the college and work level in life. It is a very complex problem and requires children to be brought up being nice and fair to all people. Fortunately the younger generations seem to roll with good intentions despite influences from bigoted parents. There is hope.

Up in Minnesota one teacher's union worked out a plan where when they have layoffs the only criteria is skin color. Before it was last in and first out. So now if you have a 20 year white teacher they will go before the first year person of color. They tried to push that off as a way to add more people of color. It is being taken to the courts now as discrimination against the white more seniority type teachers.

There is also an private all girls school in Tennesse that the board said the school was going to accept transgender people that identify as girls. This is even after the parents and donors said no, and the board just went ahead with the policy. Ended up all the parents, alumni, and big donors halted all donations to the school. One step more they insisted the board all be ousted and replaced with people that represented the values of the parents, donors, and alumni. I think that is the best example of showing how to handle these woke educators.

If Oxy wants to give me a good severance I will move on and they can fill my job to meet their diversity needs. I do a techincal specific job and they can go see if they can fill it that easily. I know full well I can be replaced, but if a company does not take into accoutnt all employees rights then they can just have a medicore staff with less experience. Maybe they need to talk to the shareholders about that as well.

DIB is a concern of people with zero technical skills.

DIB was utter nonsense. The DIB lady declared she is "woke". Seriously? Handsome paycheck for what? Not to mention the damage it can do to the company over the next few years.

We get DIB is needed. We don’t need it plastered every single call. Most want to earn a job based on their performance, not their race, religion, color, or whatever else flavor it is you identify as this week. Just do your job and good things will come
