Yeah! Go woke go broke!
We boycotted the NFL and Gilette and Budweiser! And we absolutely destroyed those companies! When is the last time you ever heard of NFL, Gilette, or Budweiser?!
I’m starting to like Scotty more and more.
He grows on you. Kinda like a bad rash but without the itch.
I like what he’s saying openly about Ford.
@2xkc+1m5LkfME
You really are special! LOL!!!! What a d-mb statement.
I would ask people to go to cars dot com; it is indeed very eye opening .
To @2eny+1m5LkfME: you really need to do take a look at Cars.com. In my fairly rural part of the USA, where the nearest Ford dealer is 25 plus miles away in any direction there are 5 Lightings available - 4 of them are Lairats with two of them with prices listed at 85K to 98k. The other two did not even have prices listed.
There are not going to be loads of these young people buying these things at those priced just to haul bikes to a bike path. These kids either have crushing school debt or they are banking their money to FIRE and forget about corporate life before 35.
Plus an inconvenient fact is that even at those priced Ford is not making a dime on those things. It’s nice your a banner waver for the BEV revolution but companies that bet their entire future on that night has well take all their money and put it on black 99 at the roulette table - would have the same success rate.
Ford will not need to sell as many EV F150s. The profit made on each EV truck will be so much higher than on gas trucks that we can sell fewer trucks and still make more money.
We are moving into niche space. Lower sales and higher profit. Exactly like Tesla and BMW!
And we don't need to accommodate those boomers that want to be welders or brick layers. That's all the past. Our future is software and tech. Gen Z coders will be buying our EV trucks to fit their bikes or kayaks.
He must have been sarcastic. Nobody could truly believe that.
Ford would not survive without the sales of F150... And going all in on EV trucks would absolutely decimate our truck sales.
@2eny+1m5LkfME Are you being sarcastic? Our best selling vehicle is the F150. It’s a truck, bought by people who like trucks and want to do truck things. Even if they never pull a boat or trailer, they want a truck that can - not a wimpy, overpriced virtue signal that needs to charged every 100 miles. The market for the latter is very limited, regardless of what the smart TV people tell you.
Should call the Ford EV truck “Snowflake”
Our electric trucks are not intended for hauling or towing or cold weather use.
We are pricing them and selling them to a young and highly educated demographic who like to toss their bikes in the truck bed and cruise on out to the local trails for a ride.
Our future will be entirely made up of this customer base and they have lots of money and credit to spend.

Scotty is right again.
Outside temperature was 30 degrees.
Lightning dash indicated 140 miles range.
Drove 60 miles.
Lightning dash then indicated 20 miles.
Batteries are terrible in cold or Ford engineer can’t do math. Probably both.
scotty and munro need to team up. would be a great team. calm quiet munro and talkative scotty firing things up. "now wait a minute scotty, now, now, i'm not saying you're wrong, but let's examine what you just claimed in my tear-down here."
1067 Ford Lightnings available on Cars.com. Remember that Lightnings produced were ALL customer ordered. This availability means that customers walked away from their orders (and Ford). Scotty nailed it perfectly.
Hey @ovi+1m5LkfM
Did you actually listen to that video? Because he is 100% correct; that lady was shoved out the door due the battery issues with the Lighting. That was supposed to be their halo BEV, and all the issues with it have had the opposite effect.
How many of those advance orders still being worked? None at the moment - so she had to go, just like Joe H. had to go with the debacle that was the Explore/Aviator launch.
Scotty, is Awesome! Half the Ford Dealer mechanics are only out to beat the labor times. Most, but not all, only care about booking 100+ hours a week. I know I uses to work in the Labor Time standards group for Ford.
Scotty is an id--t and anyone that listens to him is as well.
You would do well to only seek vehicle advice from a trusted dealership mechanic - and not from a modern you tube content creator. These social media creators just want clicks and views.
