Heard chatter of a one year contract extension due to the “ split” and am thinking how badly we were screwed by the Onion on our past two. Lump sums and accelerated cash payments have put us farther and farther behind. With 9% inflation what do these do for the rank and file? Very little for the T’s and even LESS for the D’s! When will the membership stand up to the Goombas down at local 301 and fight for a reasonable contract? With things looking up for even 2024 what will be their excuse now???

3edb+1iii5Mf8 Everywhere in society not just workers/mgrs. at companies or GE. I agree, dr-gs are an epidemic everywhere, such a shame. Stop pointing your finger at this workplace, plant and workers so it looks so bad in comparison to anywhere else and to the one and only you.
Upon further thought maybe this is a good thing? Our healthcare cost will remain the same?? I’m sure the Onion has considered this! Prescription dr-gs remain the same as well as the ones sold on campus??
@2gtw+1iii5Mf8, Switch Company for Union in my previous post. So, for years all of it was just one big dog and pony show meant nothing to no one. Hmm, par for the course.
Vernova will be the same size of Coke at the Split 20b in REV. You think with US climate policy Scott cares about 500 unions guys working on a dead technology customers don't want?? I'd leave now.... pretty soon all the amazon warehouse jobs will be gone.
@2pra+1iii5Mf8, hey clueless, the survey is put out by the union, not the company, but keep up the good work..
2ufl+1iii5Mf8 I doubt all the energy, time, and money spent over the years by the company to distribute and collect these surveys is for the sole purpose “just to make the hourly workers feel good about themselves”. Yes, union if attentive to members knows. The Company, cares where the contract is lacking for its workers or wants workers to feel good about themselves over their contract budget amount and future commitments? Yeah right, we’ve seen this over the past 20 years haven’t we. Lots of laughs.
@ozd+1iii5Mf8. The survey means absolutely nothing. If the hall has been paying any kind of attention to its members, they already know what’s important. The survey is just for show, it makes them feel good about themselves.
No raises but the COLA and maybe 50 cents here and there. But healthcare will outpace the raise regardless. But keep your egos fed and non of you have the guts to go on strike. You will take it and be miserable like the past 8 years. The first 2 years many of you T’s were in awe and your egos blew up. Now look the brown nosers with no skills are left ratting out union members. It’s comical to say the least. So yes enjoy 1 more year of work at GE after the extension.
Surveys meant to give company heads up for strategic means to know prior to negotiations in which direction they are going to dangle their annual set carrots. They do not inform you prior make them wing it like you have had to do all these years.

When you open it and fill it out, you have then filled out the survey. I surely cant help anyone who has sh-t representatives, or is to ignorant to wanna be involved and have their say. Non one in any union shop, is gonna come up to each worker, hold their hands and help them with a survey. If more mature adults worked at 301 and the site, things like this wouldnt be spoken of!
Surveys??? When the He-l were surveys given out at 273?? I must have taken that day off? Taken by who and for what?? To collect info on us who dare to voice an opinion ?? The Onion will get their kickback as usual and those in power will gain by our demise. So much for a “ Brotherhood”. The usual suspects will collect their stipends as the ones that groomed them for their current jobs. The rank and file gets screwed once more!
Fill out the survey you say, for what? How has that worked out for the union member in the past several contracts? Exactly, not good at all! The company does more with the information than the union. And dont think for a second that they're not handed the info as soon as it's gathered. They've had lawyer's working on the 2023 contract for 3 years, maybe more. Take everything you hear, from both sides, with a grain of salt. Neither side can be trusted anymore. And as far as the contract extension.... who benefits from doing an extension and more importantly, who's putting the information out because I've heard nothing official from either party. A good place to start looking is the place you pay your dues. GLTA
Well for starters, as much as they are Goomba’s, they don’t negotiate sh-t for our contract. So all sites should be all over National about whats priorities for the upcoming talks. Fill out the survey, or dont bi--h you didnt have a voice.
