Same happened for Core Quality Services. No mention of an all clear though. Managers say there could be more coming to teams, because they don't know either way.
Operations Quality and Supply Chain got hit today. Re-org Announcements were e-mailed to their respective orgs in the past hour or two which included verbiage that some roles were eliminated.
Hard to imagine them spinning off Spine. Spine, Nav, and Mazor all play together as a system. If they ditch Spine, it defeats the strategy for all three.

Why is anyone surprised? Have you not seen the mid level bloat coupled with Absolute lack of investment in R&D, and zero strategy.
In this scenario is the only way to make numbers is to cut.
We have no plan to win in the mkt with products we have and we are decreasing R&D $ to invest in new products. Look at the public released statements. R&D spend is decreasing.
Either you attack with r&d OR with your sales team. Ideally with both.
MDT is doing neither. The mid-level bloat just makes it slower to realize that its company is done. It’s going to be cut cut and cut, till the rotting corpse of Earls legacy gets chopped up and sold or files for bankruptcy.
Can you post businesses or functions instead of just saying 7 people over 45 got axed, which is literally useless information.

Of the 10 people I know who got axed, 7 were over 45. Sad, hard day and I hear more to come. This “GE” script they are following has not worked, so let’s bring down another, formerly great, organization.
No one will make me believe that medtronic is targeting Minorities purposely! I do believe they target people over fifty though.
Based on the managers choices, it seems that this RIF is targeting two types of people, 50 yrs or older and/or minorities.

Enterprise. Removing an org layer, but didn't say they were done. Have to wait till tomorrow.

Agreed on the removal from meetings. That's just d-mb. However, asking about specific tasks is an obvious one and likely dependent on the person's role. Firing a reimbursement person may not require much knowledge transfer but firing a product marketer or a data analytics guy may.
Also don't forget, most of the middle managers are complete tools are MDT, and got to their roles by bootlicking and a*s kissing. So there isn't much EQ - they likely just get a one pager with some "best practices" and start doing the d-mb sh-t within like pulling people off projects or asking a bunch of questions suddenly. No experienced would do stupid sh-t like that prior to a firing.
Seems like a fake post. They usually just schedule a meeting in your calendar and dont go through this elaborate process of asking and removing from meetings.

Once they exclude you from team emails and meetings, good signs your a target. Age and years of service are also signs. Best of luck !

Something feels off in my team (Endo). Suddenly pulled off projects without warning. Strange questions being asked about how to do specific tasks that I do that no one else knows how to do. Looks like it might be my turn.

IT in the US and EMEA were already hit this past week. Maybe the other OUs will have their rounds this coming week. Some rumors are saying this will be multi-phased. Management would not give an answer when they were asked if last Tuesday and Thursday were it for IT so more could be coming by month's end.
