Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

HCL REBADGE ?s

Hi Rebadges SF'ers....rebadged VZ'er here with some ?s since we can't get any answers. So we are 3 months in to our 1 yr offers. So far we hear nothing from HCL. Benefits, 401k, and payroll taxes are wrong and just keep getting asked to be patient. I have no thoughts that I'll be asked to remain after my 1 yr is up. We are still using our VZ laptops and phones. Is this timeline similar to what you saw? We haven't even been approached yet for shadowing, 3 months in. We just got 'onboarded', and now HCL could care less what we're doing until our contracts are up. Similar?

@mfuy well yeah. That well's going dry in 2 weeks. Grass is going to turn brown real quick!

Sometimes the grass is greener. Retention, sign-on, and other bonuses the last 12 months have been significantly more than EIP

Yup, hoping plenty of us only have a few months remaining on this clown show.
Maybe they can get the chiefs or arnold to do the work. Lol

Wrong forums, this isnt HCL this is state farm, i know you guys want to come back and all but it just craps up our forums even more than they usually are when your posting about an unrelated company.

@71bc…..then why is there so much whining?

We won’t come back into the office and there is nothing leadership can do to change that. You try to get us back and we all walk. Employees rule the company and executive office has no power.

Can we please align IT to a business leader coo that has some sense of how to operate a business

He has created an empty shell of a department. Sadly the lack of loyalty and leadership will outlast his tenure. The empower has no clothes and his peers all see through the vapor.

@3nho….Got it. YOU can judge them based solely on their skin color……because THEY are rascist. How very convenient for you.

@2fwr- How is it racism when the people in charge who make the decisions are lacking melanin?

@3evu yeah that's why SF is giving all of us 5 figure retention bonuses next month so we would be willing to stay

That senior leader doesn’t know what the f they are talking about. They accounted for hardly any of the third level work and hcl has know idea how to categorize/bill that work.
My team has had to hand hold ieom, and they look to us on work direction. The client should be setting direction, and if teams like mine had left, they would be seriously sc--wed.

I heard our senior it leader say that it is going exceedingly well. Not sure who to believe. We are saving money and shed some people that maybe weren’t very valuable to our future. Paraphrasing.

To the dikch33z talking about wrong forums, most rebadged people worked a third of their lives or more for SF, so gfy.

@2fwr…..how is the company being rascist if they arrange for a rebadge/transfer/whatever offer and the employee declines it?

I'm wondering how it isn't racism to use these outsourcers to replace 500 mostly whites with 500 indians? Yes, state farm orchestrated this.

There's only one person complaining about HCL posts on here and they don't even work at State Farm anymore. Just a boomer retiree with no life.

Based on the number of views these threads get that mention HCL, I'm betting almost everyone who's a current SF employee is ok with the discussion - well aware they're just one vague meeting invite away from having their lives turned upside down just like we were a little over a year ago. At least these folks will know what's coming if it happens again.

To the person crying about people posting here, cut them some slack. Some of the people rebadged worked 35+ years at SF, or over half their lives, so why not count your blessings it wasn’t you.

To the rebadged VZ poster, yes it has been a cluster from hr issues to the way tickets are handled to hcl not knowing how to manage third level work.
Is VZ leadership also saying it is the best thing that ever happened to VZ like the execs at SF are?
My advice would be to leave asap.

Shouldnt this be on the HCL forums not state farm? Getting sorta old spamming another companies forums this long, like i get it the month you guys were rebadged and all but this is getting out of control.

Pretty much similar. If they can find a way to eff up anything involving payroll or benefits, they will. It's never their fault though. I swear they do it just to see if they can get away with it. Last year they tried sc--wing us out of floating holidays. This year they've given all of us less hours in our "Leave Bank" than we agreed to in the contracts (if you didn't know, now you do!). Their HR is embarrassing.

You won't hear anything about Year 2 until later this year. We just started having the conversations in October about what the year 2 staffing counts were going to be and starting in March they're going to be offshoring a lot of our Tier 1 and Tier 2 support folks' jobs. Some of the affected will be "re-deployed" to a new HCL account and some will be cut. For now, keep your head down and collect the check.

As for the workstation stuff, we all got our HCL laptops after a couple/few months but the shift to using them for work and returning our client workstations is still ongoing.
