@2kdb+1cMpqpub This is just Lead Counsel right now, though wouldn't be surprised if SMC's are next and they start consolidating complexes. This is not necessarily a bad thing as there are some complexes with well below 100 people with just one SMC and then there are complexes with well over 100 people with just one SMC. It's wildly uneven.

@2flk+1cMpqpub Claims will never run out of stuff to complain about or ways to complain about it, this will be no different, now they just have a new scapegoat. They jam us up by continuing to under-value claims, dragging their feet on evaluations and asking us to defend cases on their BS liability arguments.

Now upper claim management will start complaining about high legal expenses when we have to hire outside counsel when its their decision-making that is the culprit! Probably be a "root cause/problem solving" subject for the CI folks and they'll probably never admit that the root cause is the reduction of key staff counsel.

Who was impacted in the Staff Counsel locations? Was it the Managing Attorneys or Lead Counsel? Is there a consolidation of locations, or is this a span of control play?

They kept the inept dead wood. They took away all the good people. Very sad how this company is poorly run

As an ex-Allstate Agent this is great news. I’m writing about $50K a month from former Allstate insureds. The premium I’m writing represents about $75K a month in Allstate premium. Allstate premium is generally 25%~30% higher than the rest of the insurance industry. I know my numbers are small in scale. However, this phenomenon is happening all over the country. Things will be much worst for Allstate in 2022 when ex-Allstate agent’s non competes begin to expire.

Customers are not going to tolerate inept legal department representing them. Moreover, news like this will spread like sh!t through a goose in the public. State Farm is going to grow by 2 mil auto units this year. Of those 2 mil units, I wonder how many are coming at the expense of ALLSTATE?

I am thankful for Tom and Glenn. Their continued ridicules manner of running Allstate will fund my agency for years to come. However, I feel bad for the Allstate customer and I am here to help. The attorneys that they are letting go will be far better off working in a place that puts the customer first.

Keep up the good work boys! I’ll see you in the funnies!

The certain SCO's/complexes that are bleeding employees have been doing so for a while, at least one for 3 years or more. That rests not with the lead counsel, but with the SMC. As long as the same SMC remains in place, process and spreadsheets will be more important that good service and solid legal advice.

That’s a lot of jack. I guess they did pretty well if they made that bacon for a few years. Sorry it had to end for them. Allstate doesn't care about individuals , they only feign concern for certain groups of people that suit their corporate political whim of the time. It’s a shame to see more talent loss. Times are tough all over. Sorry the misery is being shared at this level. Not much fun and very disappointing.

Leads counsel are bonus level with some making $275k. Better to replace them with staff attorneys (low $100s) and paralegals ($45-50k).

It's all about saving money. No concern for whether or not we'll be able to provide the same level of service to our clients and claims partners. I'm sure that this plan was in place long ago, but Rhonda/Ricky have given it their blessing (or at least haven't done anything to stop it). There are certain SCO's/complexes that are bleeding employees and I'm sure more we'll leave soon, and nobody seems to care that this is happening or god forbid actually doing anything to stop the bleeding. It's a damn shame and a sad state we are in.

It's just plain crazy how that works. This company has zero value for the talent it is letting leave. Actually, forcing to leave. It's as if they want to destroy it from the inside, for some unknown reason.. What a legacy Tom is leaving and Glen the dirtbag seems to have him wrapped around his fingers..
