Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I'm so close to quitting

If our manager continues to bully people and HR continues to do nothing about it, I'll walk away. No notice, I just won't show up one day. Considering what I do and that there's nobody who can replace me on short notice, it'll be felt, trust me. I'm at the point where I don't just want to leave, I want to make sure people who made my life miserable here feel the same pain.

Our director was a self-important loser and a major ahole. He just sat in his office with the door closed all day like he was having important conference calls when he was in fact just trying to sober up and work on his side business. He had zero self awareness and acted like an ahole even though his admin, the entire dept, and the building knew he was a joke and viewed him as a joke.

My directors bully me. They stock the drink cooler with everyone’s favorite drink except mine. I told them before that Dt cherry is my favorite drink. They stock Dt pepsi and cherry zero but not my favorite…. They’re torturing me and rubbing it in my face. The other day a director who brought lunch in asked if he could get me a drink. I know he did it knowing my favorite drink was not available…

Hey - that’s my line…

If you report the manager to HR watch your career at Pepsi go downhill. Report him/her only if you are seriously leaving. I fell for the "Voice your opinion fearlessly" lie and the retaliation was brutal.

I so feel your pain. I hate this rancid company. The only thing more unhealthy than most of their products is their complete lack of humanity. I’ve been interviewing extensively and can’t wait to get out for good. And you do NOT owe them two weeks notice. You think they’d give you the same? When you’re time comes to bail - give as much as is beneficial for YOU and you alone. Good luck - better days lay ahead. Although the grass is usually not greener on the other side - in the case of PepsiCo it almost always is.

It sucks to have to be so careful in everything you write or say these days. The male gender was used in such examples for ages before all the wokeness hit. I swear, someone makes one little mistake and there's always someone ready to immediately pounce on it. You're probably the bully boss. And I don't really care what your gender is, or if you even have one.(or ten)

Interesting assumption here that a boss who is a bully is a male.

So, you've personally experienced bullying behavior from your manager... and you've officially reported this in detail to HR, one or more times... and they aren't doing anything about it? In this case, then yeah, it's time for something definitive.
Or do you have a boss who is a bully, but you have never reported it personally?
It sucks that he's a bully, but there's an important distinction here. I say this as someone who has gone through this before. If you personally haven't reported it, then you need to do that now, since you're at this point anyway. And let them know it has been an ongoing pattern of behavior, observed by and directed toward other people as well... not just a one time thing. Because if you haven't reported it, then it's quite likely nobody else has either, and if that's the case then HR can't do anything about it.
