It has been rumored that full time employees will be let go after the holidays. Any truth to this? Will it be all full time associates or will they just trim the numbers in each store? Anyone have inside information not speculation?

Where is this happening?
Not a rumor - corporate HR has told me fulltime employees will be offered part time positions. They are to be told their full time position has been eliminated and we can only offer you a part time position.
The first week of February 2021 is when BBB will start cutting the full time jobs!! Buybuybaby is included too!!
If they want to save money they should get rid of supervisors. Supervisors make way to much money! And for what???
Not even dignifying that with an elaborate response
@3fae. If retail is not unskilled labor why aren't they paying you $20 to $25 dollars an hour?
Yep...I’m so full of typos it’s stupid...sorry.
Retail is absolutely not unskilled labor. It takes time to learn your customer base and to understand what is going to work in your market and what isn’t. And it also takes someone who gives a shut to actually pay attention to all that. BBB once embraced tff go at concept and let us make our stores great...now they just rub your hard earned knowledge in your face. If they opened their eyes they would see that but they won’t. So yes...get out now...it’s a dead end...but true retail is absolutely not unskilled brainless labor. Just take your skills elsewhere cuz they obviously don’t know what to do with it anymore.
Don't feel terrible to be part time. Health insurance you can find a lot cheaper than how much BBB takes from your Paycheck. And you will be fine.
@2fda Sorry but if you think for one minute you are not replaceable and the store absolutely would have to close if they laid you off you are living in a fantasy land. I have worked for years in various occupations and one thing I have learned is "no one is irreplaceable". Retail is unskilled labor. Minimum wage, part timers and high turnover is the direction it has been heading for the past few years. Retail is no longer a full time career. Hang in there as long as you can but try to find a different occupation like I did.
My store has 3 full timers and nowhere near 75 employees so just because a store has 3, doesn't mean you know what store.
Anyway, my store would absolutely have to close if they let us go. As a full timer, I dont have enough in the day to do half the stuff I have to. And no, we aren't closing. We just finished the stupid refresh that looks dumb. The colored banners are mismatched and the room name are ridiculous.
Idk about all full timers being let go after the holidays. I do know some of the stores in my area were told last week that they were closing. Liquidations starts a couple of days before christmas day.
Unfortunately in today's retail environment cutting full timers is the trend with stores going to cheaper part time employees. It is unskilled labor after all.
I worked there and there are only 3 full timers left, mr./ms. Sycophant.
So you know 3 full timers and the store. How do you know that?
3 full timers. I know the store.
We have 75 associates in my store and only 3 are full time. It’s like a revolving door of employees. No loyalty or dedication.
Well they need managers and supervisors...but some of the old timers who just head hard side/soft side could be cut. I hope not but they are cutting everywhere! 😥
Not a reliable source, only discussion between SMS. Was just wondering if there is any truth to the rumor and if it will include all full timers
Who is the rumor from? Sources?
I have heard that rumor as well
