Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

She said what most of us are thinking

This was amazing and I wish this young lady all the best in life. I wish I had the courage to do what she did. When you don't treat your employees like human beings, you deserve to be put on notice like this.

@2epc: I think you’ve missed the point entirely. It might be true what you say, or what she said. But, when YOU do something or take action that is just as low, or lower, or act in a shameful and publicly disrespectful way, the focus now shifts to what kind of person YOU are.

@2ehw As opposed to the associates that constantly get bent over and say nothing or those that complain behind the back of Walmart when they know bringing issues and concerns to management will fall on deaf ears?

Walmart pushed that associate to the breaking point and guess what? She broke. She spoke her mind and she spoke truth.

Walmart is one of the worst employers out there. Walmart knows it. Their reputation is out there. They just don't care. They just see an endless workforce that they can abuse and discard at a whim.

As more of their associates get fed up with their treatment maybe, just maybe, they can unite and create a union.

Yes, that shows real class. You think? I guess she’ll be the envy of every associate now. And won’t her new employer be thrilled to have her? Let’s just check in 6 months from now and see how she is doing.
