Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

You have to act d-mb if you work here

I swear, if you want to work here and not be targeted for mistreatment by managers, you have to act d-mb. That's the only way to avoid being perceived as a threat and subsequently being laid off. Once you figure this out, it becomes clear why Xerox is stuck in place.

I get it. My issue is that my last three managers had no idea what I do. They did not care to understand what my daily job responsibilities were and had no interest in learning what I do. These three managers are so out of touch and pretty much showed me they do not care. Looking out only for themselves with no regard for employees who may report to them.

I think you are right. The culture is leave your brains at home. The absolute best part of leaving was I no longer had to pretend I worked with smart people. And I was very high level!
