@2wcd+1sbJOO8z any plans to change that?
In the meeting right now.
70% of transmission engineering is outsourced?
Whoa!
Let's just say doors are gonna be hitting as--s and it's long over due. Can't wait for you free loaders to hit the road.
@2clk+1sbJOO8z I think this is by design, they can't target people based on age or years of service in an involuntary layoff so they designed it with such a tight window of opportunity hoping only the highest paid / longest tenured staff would willingly take it.
What’s the goal/ # employees to be cut ?
If they had given folks a month to decide, I think the voluntary goal would be reached. As of now, it only incentivizes those close to retirement to leave. So if you were a long tenured employee who’s going to retire next year, you would basically get paid NOT to work until your retirement date.
If you’re early or mid career, you don’t have enough time to get another job lined up, so you’ll have to roll the dice and hope you don’t get chosen
This is tough
I am eligible and the severance amount is a joke. I would have to find a new job to agree to take it, but we only have 12 days to accept the buyout. I don’t think I can get an actual offer that quickly…
Appears it is not a conspiracy theory- the statement has been released after board meeting. Now the question is what’s gonna happen next after the required “goal” is not met? I think we all know that answer already.
Severance of 2 years per week is AEP policy for layoffs. the cap at 52 weeks occurred a couple of years ago.
No rumors. All facts. The severance seems really low
2 weeks per year su-ks
How many offered buy out ?
Not a rumor, sent out communication today.
No one knows anything because it’s just a rumor. If it was going to happen don’t you think there would be more facts? Just a conspiracy theory to get people worked up over nothing. This company does hate us but I don’t see a buyout happening.
Like mentioned on one of the other posts, DEI top hires seems to have impacted, as a place to work and company- declining very rapidly
I believe it is mostly just rumors. I would love to say it’s happening but it is probably just a case of a rumor that’s gotten out of hand. Just like when we played the telephone game as children the message can be greatly changed by the time it reaches its end point. If any one has heard from a reliable source that this is going to happen I would love to hear it and may even take AEP up on its deal for a buyout. I just haven’t seen any reliable evidence that it is going to happen unfortunately.
All I have heard is rumors. Anything from they could let anyone take it to no it’s only for MRO etc. would love to hear some actual facts on the subject if there are any.
