Any details on LD’s retirement? At one time, it seemed that LD couldn’t be president of enough things. Did she disappoint DW with her handling of EMTEC?

This needs its own thread:
All I know is nick colostomy bag just gave a pathetic show in Clinton. The guy is such a tool. He thinks he is the sh!t. He said nothing. He is boring as watching paint dry. He loves to tell you how wonderful he is. He and this new dude MZ are going to safe research. He even got to sit between a right and left ball board member for lunch. He is SO important. He didn't realize he's the D in the middle. Now all the useless managers and supervisors will kneel down or bend over and ask to service him. The place is run by fools that put on a show when the vp's come around. Siul hasn't changed anything. The guy just lets the died weigh hang around. Why is hasn't called out the band of merry men in PA wing is beyond me. DO' needs to go and take the do nothing contractors with him.
Bye Felicia
OP the good thing is that pathetic loser is gone. SHE IS GONE. Now focus on repairing all the damage she did because to her total incompetence.
Good da?n riddance. Incompetent on her BEST days.
Shiva the destroyer.
XOM quotes of the day
All Presidents and Vice Presidents are approachable and friendly externally. However, behind closed doors they will cut you off at the kneecap if you are not meeting your annual metrics.
As one President told his/her refinery managers at the annual refinery scorecard meeting. "These are your refinery corporate scorecard metrics for the year. If you are not able to achieve your metrics, I will personally have you replaced by someone that can meet the metrics."
MZ will follow the script, EMTEC is going to be slowly vaporized, nice guy right 🤡😂
As someone who's had the misfortune of seeing him take his approachable everyman mask off, I'll stand by my statement. These execs aren't your friend. Keep licking his boots. Hope you realize he's stepping on your neck before it's too late.
As someone who personally knows MZ, I’m going to stand up for him. He’s not a snake. @2cjj+1qRTtndy
You mo--ns think that MZ is some kind of hyper knowledgeable, kind, smart tech wiz you're in a for a surprise. Dude is a snake and a team player. The fact that a white dude is getting all of your loin juices flowing is pathetic. When will you clowns realize that all these execs are cut from the same XOM cloth?
LD is perfect example of the insidious infiltration of DEI initiatives within the corporation to promote a woman whom is clearly incompetent in technology development, r&d, and technology commercialization. She smiled nice but was missing in action for the last five years, but unfortunately no one was willing to state the obvious that she should have been first on the exec level PIP list. She will be fine with mid 8 figure retirement package , and will never worry about the destruction and carnage she did to all of the technology organizations she supposedly “led”, but in reality failed and succeeded in destruction.
MZ is the bo-b, to be honest. Very cool dude and nice
From her visibility on LinkedIn, seemed to me that she was clueless, insensitive and self centered. Pretty much aligned with the majority of her peers at that level I think.
Word on the Street is that MZ - Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil Product Solutions will replace LD as President of EMTEC.
We have a history of replacing bad managers with worse. It is hard to get an excited with her exit and the new replacement. The EMTEC is an overhead that is not appreciated by most business units other than money su-king LCS. We should scrap the whole of EMTEC particularly R.
Having worked with her, I can say that she was neither kind nor inspirational. Good riddance.
Come on folks, be respectful. She was a great leader and role model for woman. Always kind and inspirational. Smart person who asked all right questions and was hard worker. More than what I can say to most other folks.
She deserves to be happy and retire. You all are miserable. The new president is great but also none of anyones business why she is retiring. God doesn’t bless ugly.
LD was out with cancer most of last year, reason we didn’t see much of her. Came back, rubber stamped the whole strategy exercise, now she can leave with full pension at 60. So happy to get Mike Zamora, he at least understands technology and what it takes for a business to make money.
Her husband is retiring as well
Not true that LD would receive all here deferred compensation by retiring at 60. Would need to be 65 or get permission to leave earlier. I have no idea whether this retirement was initiated by DW or initiated by LD and accepted by DW, but in any case DW wanted her out. Need to make room for next young CEO candidate. In the good old day LD would have gone on to be a contact executive, but the new normal is to fill those spots with outside hires. So be warned all you aspiring senior execs: if you are not on the CEO short list by age 45, you will be leaving by mutual agreement in your mid to late 50s.
EMTEC 😂😂😂 just a shell now…..
LD is 60 years old with 38 years with ExxonMobil. Mandatory retirement is 65 for Executives.
At age 60, LD receives 100% of her pension, RSU's, and 401K. Retiring is a no brainer.
What? Wasn’t she in MIT with her leadership team. Nice boondoggle before leaving.
In all honesty, it’s good riddance to great rubbish. Finally someone who knows Technology comes as President. I was never impressed by her, she was a whole lot of nothing. Classic Upstream empty vessel.
