Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Stock in Freefall?

Down to $11.00. Farley factor? Is EV really paying off as a strategy? Predictions for 2023?

Well, there is this:

“Ford Motor Co. is a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell) that designs, manufactures, markets, and services a range of Ford trucks, cars, sport utility vehicles, electrified vehicles, and Lincoln luxury vehicles worldwide.

The stock is trading near 2022 lows after a handful of earnings misses that has forced analysts to lower estimates. The stock is still well off its pre-COVID lows and investors should be nervous that the stock could break $10.

The NERVE of Zacks to refer to Ford as a company that “designs, manufactures, markets, and services a range of Ford trucks, cars, sport utility vehicles, electrified vehicles, and Lincoln luxury vehicles worldwide.” Didn’t Farley tell them we are a data and subscription sales company?

@6xwt+1kpQ4v4X Because Ford announces every thought bubble and presents it as an almost complete when it is only a thought bubble.

So if “canopy” was announced a year ago to be available sometime in the next year, does that mean the Ford Next crew has nothing else new coming until at least 2024? Why do they need to announce stuff two years before it is available? Smokescreen? Ford Next and it’s management team should be on the layoff list, they are an expense, not a profit center. They are as useful to our bottom line as ArgoAI.

Ford is going to continue to lose market share now that Tesla has partnered with General Motors.

Ford is the laughing stock of automotive executives world wide.
You can thank Jim Farley for that.

So glad I retired a year ago and took the lump sum.

I wish Ford Motor Company nothing but future failure

Wouldn’t our commercial customers prefer that we sell them vehicles with door locks that work to keep thieves out? I actually have a video of my vehicle being stolen out of my driveway, I had the police on the phone within a minute. They told me to come into the station to make a report. They notified me my vehicle was located a day later, minus tires and everything that was in it. The video was not helpful.

@3gto+1kpQ4v4X That is just Canopy. It is suppose to launch in 2023 and is just alerting owners of commercial vehicles that someone is breaking into their vehicles.

Okay, don’t give away “upcoming technologies,” but tell us more about the partnership announced a year ago with ADT, a company who’s valuation is about what Ford’s annual profits used to be. It is not advertised anywhere, notably not on the ADT website. This tells me that anything not yet announced will not be salable for at least a year.

Tesla is 100 years younger than Ford, yet it’s market value is still 8.5 times higher. This should give you insight into the fact that Elon Musk adds more value than the entire Ford family, Jim Farley, and our bloated 90+ member Executive Team.

Relative to Tesla stock (down 65% YTD to close out the year) Ford stock was more of a downhill slide than a free fall…

@2bus+1kpQ4v4X your standards are pretty low to rate our current management to the group in 80s and early 90s. Like one poster said Farley resume is pretty blank. So change your beverage form KOOL AID.

It is obvious you weren’t at Ford during the Mulally years, and you need to buy a clue.
There are NO “upcoming technologies that haven't been released to the public yet.” We did announce a new partnership with ADT, a company who’s market cap is less than our annual earnings used to be, in January of 2022. Where is it a year later? NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

Name ONE technology that soon arrive from “our company transformation.”
You can’t, because there will be no new technology at Ford that every other vehicle manufacturer doesn’t also have.

There is no “company transformation and the technologies that soon arrive from it.” Wake up! Ford is a poor quality manufacturer of vehicles. That all.

The stock price will increase favorably when the media recognizes our company transformation and the technologies that soon arrive from it.

Getting the word out is the hard part. Also more visibility our newest leadership gets the better. Doug Field for our emerging tech and others for our quality focus will improve our stock with Wall Street.

Just wait until December sales don’t meet expectations. Between weather, interest rates and inflation, more people are delaying major purchases. I’m glad when it hit $25, I sold it all. Good riddance.

I predict that the BigTech-Gov-Biz alliance (technically fitting the definition of 'Fash-is-um') will grow even stronger as they are taking orders directly from the WEF now. Free and fair elections no longer exist and you will drive what the global government says or not at all. Listen to what the WEF is saying - They mean business and have been successfully executing their plans (and enemies) for decades. Now during Obamas 3rd term, 'the mask is off' so to speak except for those who choose to remain ignorant. EVs will be FORCED to 'succeed', and you will be forced to subscribe to a government tracking app, perhaps just in time for the next 'fraudlection'.

They say Success has many relatives and failure is an orphan. So if JF takes all the credit for the stock hype last year, then he also has to take credit for the fall.
He is also to blame for the warranty after all he is the top dog at Ford. So next year may be a challenge if inflation continues and the job market goes south.
In the past when you had a bad leader you at least had troops that were seasoned could keep them out of trouble. That has been in a steady decline sine the mid 90s. Now you have friends of the family or political appointees who are not seasoned. on top of that the experienced engineers left over the past 4 years. So if you are relying on the direct reports to bail them out. good luck.
Focus on quality get rid of TVM. The engineers only do what they are told.

He took credit and sent an article about it to the Free Ford Press to print when the stock hit $25 a year ago, based on his press releases that apparently some people believed. He should be taking credit for bringing it back down to almost the 12 month low.
