Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Pure destruction

It’s really sad how SF has downgraded so quickly. It takes a real “talent” to turn a company that was once great and a dream job for many, into a company that employees are literally running away from, and no one talented and capable even thinks of coming here anymore? I'm leaving soon, but I'm sorry that new young people won't have the opportunity to work in a company that SF used to be.

i feel like this thread is full of people whove only worked for state farm the last 15-20 years.

Every company is fully anti-employee, with the exception of a few tech roles if you are top of your game.

State Farm has degraded, and it did sell its humanity for metrics, trading people for numbers in the process. Every company is being gutted from the inside out for executive bonuses and investor returns, and has been since the 90's. Youve not been seeing this take place at just about every company that exists in this country.

Yes you can go to another company, but you will find the same mantra no matter where you go. Youll be constantly asked to do more for less while the bonuses reach record numbers for your bosses boss. You'll constantly have to sacrifice for their bottom line. You will constantly get emails thanking you for your hard work while also letting you know its going to get worse moving forward for you.

This is how western business now works. We can all protest, those executives are salivating at the potential to offshore this work to another place where people will suffer more for less....as their bonuses will increase with the lower overhead. When it all collapses they'll retire to one of their several homes and not think twice about the legacy they sold for their own wealth.

Think their big data technocrat Big shot attitude and push at top needs to be called out for once. Never will be charmed leaders and employees don't see it for what or really is. Disgusting
