Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Management is a mess

Way too many layers, way too many people who think they know everything but are utterly useless. What we have are big teams bogged down by pointless meetings, endless back-and-forth, and people jockeying for power instead of actually getting things done. Nothing ever gets accomplished because everyone’s too busy pretending to be in charge. I'm starting to think this place is doomed.

Please just cash your checks and shut it. Let Slug Fatty nail whatever low self esteem plumpy he wants. He will stay out of our way. This place is awesome, no leaders for as far as we can see. Just show up and be nice to Darth Ang and you are good to go.

@1zzf+1vo8OV4P Teams were initially adequately staffed. However, rather than strategically reallocating resources to manage fluctuating workloads, leadership opted for a rating and ranking system ($$$), ultimately resulting in layoffs. Now, they are facing the negative consequences of this short-sighted decision, as the impact on productivity, morale, and team cohesion becomes increasingly evident.

Middle manager here. It's not that we try to keep people busy, it's the endless changes in direction, hair brained ideas, and ridiculous exercises from senior leadership who demand things without giving us the tools and staff that we need.

We're just stuck in the middle between our understaffed teams and the completely blind crazy people running the business.

Zero direction from the top, resulting in middle management that tries to keep people busy doing things that everybody knows doesn't matter. Great for morale. Happy holidays!
