Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Are you financially ready for 2016 meltdown?

I am. I can't wait. No debt. Plenty of cash reserves. Own my home outright. And plenty of passive income not tied to the stock market.

Bring on pain train. The more others get screwed the better off I am.

Jackin m*s in the drive-through. Hey rich p**y, drop the dry cleaning and get out the car, don't want to wet you on my new seat cushions.

@FswvGmv-1omy, actually OP sounds like typical chickenhawk. Hoping to profit from other people's misery. Whether its their neighbors bankruptcy or somebody's son going to fight in the middle east is just a matter of scale. But really, NONE of you have "defense" stocks? #hypocrites

qhs: You sound like people I used to know who thought war was good for the economy--until their son was killed in Cambodia in the 70's. Suddenly, war wasn't so good anymore.

The financial crisis will drive a move toward socialism in the US. More lazy people, like myself, collecting welfare, food stamps, free health care, free phone, subsidize housing ect. I would rather be rich but being poor is ok if you know how to work the system. And I have plenty of time to surf, and hang out at the beach and bbq with friends.

Wow. You sure seem like a really nice guy.

I am financially prepared for a downturn as well, but would never rejoice at other peoples' misery.

Take a look at this... and have some compassion.

More people need to lose their jobs all over the place. When it starts, it trickles down to everyone else, including retail and lower wages workers. And when a lot of people are jobless, its creates huge opportunities for those of us that are financially prepared to take advantage of the situation. More concentration of wealth to the financially fit that survives.

Bring it.
