I was hoping that the attrition would slow down because I really can't stand all the stress and overload anymore. But I haven't noticed that actually happening. How do you deal with the effects of attrition?

You mean the gift of more shares, making you invest more into company. Not cold hard cash.
We had a couple folks give notice today. Taking a chance on a startup company in Albany who are on a 2 year/$20mil contract to make silicon carbide wafers.. Little risky but to be fair they were pretty miserable here. Negative energy and attitude. I hope they find happiness and success. The continued attrition rate will help remaining employees if/when the Q2 end retention incentive announcement hits.. 🤞
@1zuf HR?
The same people who add to attrition are the same ones tasked with stopping it 🤷♀️
Ha well said
GF is it’s own worst enemy tripping over its own two feet at every chance it gets. It almost feels like it’s on purpose sabotage sometimes.
I really like that thought. The best recruiter for Samsung or Intel is GF itself haha it’s funny but true!
Nothing like getting dressed down by PB, on a weekly basis.
He wants is power at the cost of your mental health.
Shelling out PTSD, making you feel d-mb and never offering actual help.
Unsure of his value to GF, he is helping out of competitor looking for talent.
I do my job and go home. No calls, my Work phone stays at work. When my boss tries to push his incompetence on me, I just smile and say do what you have to. I do not accept any calls after I leave for the day. It's not my incompetence that allowed my experienced counterparts to quit.
It’s a lot more stress. Juggling many different new jobs and roles. Wearing a lot more different hats. The sad part is we become comfortably numb to it. It’s becomes the new norm until another person leaves and you have add their work to their already overburden pile. Then you get shocked and reminded you are already overworked for peanuts.
It would have been nice if salaries and compensation matched the increase in work load and responsibilities, but it hasn’t. And management doesn’t seem to care and pretends to not understand the logic of it. They are handling it very poorly.
So to answer question about how to handle the effects of all the attrition around us? The answer is simple I am planning on joining them very soon. It has greatly motivated me more to get off my bu-t and find a better job. Get paid significantly more (10-20k) more with half the work load and responsibilities. If anything the attrition has pulled back the veil of management and leadership at Globalfoundries and has exposed them to being frauds and inept at their jobs. It’s an eye opener that this place is not a good place to work at and the company wide fake facade of their professionalism is peeling off.
So I feel invigorated and more passion of getting out and adding to that attrition number.
