If you did the right thing. One of you would make a recommendation at the board meeting to remove the stipend checks. It is our opinion officer who fails to represent its members equally should not be paid additional money from our dues. They shouldn’t even be in office. We urge the membership in Schenectady to start a recall petition. 301 it’s clear you aren’t being represented correctly.

@1diz+1meBznyx- By all means I will leave thanks for the union I mean onion support.
@1npr+1meBznyx, by all means, leave "little one"
@1iuj+1meBznyx, GE has no interest in solving this "problem". Solve it internally. Majority vote rules. Then shut up or leave.
For 11 year I herd try to close the gap! For years I learned the history. Herd the BS for years saw the wages on the outside increase close to what we get paid. For a great big company who threatens layoffs all the time or close the place down for a NORMAL job and NORMAL to less than normal 401k and healthcare. There are no real perks here or Benifits of working here. Other than haveing a voice that gets shot down all the time! I for one am looking to get out 11 years of this is enough. Get treated like garbage on the floor go to the bathroom get asked where I’ve been I respond stall 2 didn’t flush go check that is my proof I was there. This place is a messed up place to work. I would think after 11 years and the layoffs I saw no real benifit other than when management did d-mb stuff the union would talk with them. I don’t see any real team work here. No reasoning from the plant other than keep jobs here and some d-mb T’s would be afraid and preach this too. WithIn 2 years there will be a layoff. A recession is coming this year officially in the media. We are in the downward spiral of one. Didn’t GE think that this would divide the floor? Didn’t GE think that at all? The union trying to keep the T’s calm. So company says keep jobs here/also GE says it’s still a great job. So what is it a great job or a company that’s sinking. While outside GE the wages climb and climb. Sad! I will be looking for a job this is not worth it anymore.
@1cph+1meBznyx Strike grow and set. The pay is light for what we do. It falls in line with warehouse pay not skilled pay. Yes I knew what I was signing up for then I learned the history of the UNION and said it is worth the fight to better the T’s like the legacy fought for. We have no pension and BS 401k and high healthcare. I like the job but the pay and stuff is weak
@1cph+1meBznyx for starters - I would not have asked for a side bar deal , not now . Not when GE has already shown their hand locally, publicly telling everyone they need to hire 150+ people for the new wind project, plus still needing to hire more for the bar shop on top of that. This is the first time in a LONG time Locally we’ve had leverage . Asking for a stupid side bar deal , at this time was stupid. GE brass had to be chomping at the bit , and ready to giggle at this lame brain proposal. Imagine what they (GE) thought walking away from that proposal.
@1gnf+1meBznyx, GE won't more. What don't you get?
CD can ask and GE can say "no' (a fact). CD can ask a members to strike and they can say no (a fact).
What he-l would you do?
Are all the T rates that forgetful? Don’t they remember that every single one of them knew exactly what they were signing on for with a lower wage then their coworkers? Blaming the D rates for you having a job is ridiculous, you’re the one that accepted the job. If you had so many great options at the time, why did you come to GE? The company accomplished exactly what they wanted with the two tier pay scale, a divided “union” and, with the help of the hall, have been taking advantage of it ever since. Watch your 6, while your squabbling amongst yourselves, deals are being made. Keep your coworkers close and your union leaders closer. Good luck
Does it matter at all that these Jobs were created because of the D Rate sacrifices in wages & raises? Those D’s have already paid for them - they gave up wages and raises to create & protect them. I think everyone is clear that the pay gap sucks , but to try and bridge, correct it out of or off of D rate backs is just ridiculous. CD , had no right , or forethought about bringing this to the company. More Division and animosity on the floor. Horrible decision
@1zxw+1meBznyx, GE isn't now nor will they have any interest in the future, in closing the gap. Strike in an industry (Steam Generation) that has more production capacity than orders and see how that goes. Why did the D's ever agree to the two-tier system? Fix it on the back of the D's at the Local level. 2% for D's and 10% for T's for example.
The 6% + 6% only catches up what to what hasn’t been given the past 6 years. So you are basically back to no raise….
This barely keeps pace with inflation that’s the only reason they gave us the raise they did. But that doesn’t change the $10 gap and unequal employment and treatment.
@1ixb+1meBznyx- stop complaining we zD’s and T’s voted in Schenectady No to this contract. If you’re so sick of this dump then quit already. I have seen some good T’s leave to make the same money and some left with better offers. Where would you go? Back to what? Ge doesn’t care if you leave this dump, the National doesn’t care if you leave this dump. The local might because they want people to stay and grow but if the $10 gap and no pension with a below than average 401k along with ridicules high health care premiums that has been here for over 10 years bothers you than you should leave. It’s sad to see an American company treat Americans this way at the place where it was all founded. It’s a disgrace to the local community and the American country of innovation. Well hey at least they know here in Schenectady isn’t happy with things and the way we are treated by clueless egotistical management we have here.
@1zbi+1meBznyx, GE negotiates GWI and a national level, slotting of jobs is a Local Agreement issue. Hence, it's kicked back to Local 301. Just sit down and figure it out, but be certain, 6% per year is it. GE isn't throwing anymore in the pot. PERIOD. Strike or no strike.
D rates: you guys voted to create T rates and you;ve regretted that decision ever since. You've treated them like cr-p even though they are now 6+ years into their jobs. Now you want the T rates to unite with you against GE and you wonder why there is so much infighting. You guys created your own mess and you can't go back!
: @1aph+1meBznyx GE gave this raise because they knew that it would make the gap bigger and upset a lot of the lower scale guys. This was done on purpose. You saw in the paper locally GE did not want to open the split pay scale issue.
@1aph+1meBznyx- GE would mop the floor with every former union worker. Just saying I highly doubt GE would do us better without the union. When it comes time to vote for National don’t vote the people that represent us now back in. But Locally I would stick with CD he has been pushing closing the gap for over 10 years.
At this point the iue and the past 3 contracts are actually holding you back from getting higher wages than if they weren’t involved at all.
@1sts+1meBznyx Good for you I’m surprised it is not Bud light. But you do you. I like equality
: @lol+1meBznyx Work some ot and get a second job to break $100k then. Don’t be a hater. The company won’t open the pay scale unless we strike! Simple! They have no reason too! Is it right NO! is it CD and the halls fault? NO they went to bay over this topic and have for 11 years. For once we got a fighting chance with CD in the hall going to bay and you’re all turning your backs on him because the company told him no sale. The National don’t sound like they are saying anything. So grow a set boycot ot and vote no when ever a new deal comes to the floor. Use your vote! Don’t blame someone that’s trying if you guys don’t have the guts to vote no or turn down OT. The company can see the OT numbers and labor costs.
The company even lowered the standards for Ops leaders in the plant. They give the Opps titles to the former union rats and slugs that never got dirty.
@1gyd+1meBznyx- The T’s can’t afford to walk and some are happy to be making $15 more an hour from their job before this one.
The T’s agreed to this wage with no pension and high health care premiums from a huge American Company. I don’t see why if they don’t like the fact that it will not change they should start to look for another job. If I was a T I would not be coming here for a job knowing that GE make billions and someone next to you is making $10 more an hour. With a pension but I can afford the high healthcare over a T. I really think GE wants a hire and fire atmosphere here in 273/Schdy. I don’t blame CD or the current hall. Their hands are tied. They tried to close the gap they don’t have the floor telling them that they will walk on this issue. No guts anymore and GE knows this.
If CD and SF where not “in bed with HR in Schenectady, they could take a hard line. But since they are and have to many side deals to loose by standing up, they cant. Thats the truth. Both of them doing as daddy’s say, because we are living in the sh-t that their daddys got suckered into believing and selling to the membership. Sometimes you pay the price of those before you. Sometimes your just as guilty as those before you. Both need to go and quickly. Nothing changes with these clowns in charge and all their a-s kissing board members and followers. If National was so deeply involved in the corruption they too would be able to do something . Laughing stock of the area is a understatement for sure. Maybe CD should go on TV to spread our dirty laundry to a even wider audience, cause the audience at 301 has started to change the channel.
Look at this forum....D vs T. And you wonder why the 'brotherhood' can't get together and vote? Been seeing this T vs D thing for 5 years now....y'all just gotta learn to live and love each other else you'll continue to get CRUSHED by GE management. They LAUGH at how divided the UNION is!!!
Attention, there is a little things called elections. Vote them out if you wish. In the mean time stop bi--hing.
His hands are tied? He should tie his shoes and get in the mud. As the paper stated he can’t help us. we don’t have enough empaths in the union.
@ies+1meBznyx, lol, your so uninformed "little one"
Just vote 301 brothers/sisters on how to split up the 6% per year between D's and T's. 6% for all, 3% of D's and 9% for T's, or vice versa. Just shut up and vote on how you want to spread the money. Be certain, GE won't do 6 and 6 for all and then also close gap on T's. Strike and they'll close the plant down.
If I made $400 more bucks on 40 hours a week would I strike? Would I team up with my fellow union members to right size the ship for the floor. Would I help make the union stronger? No because I don’t want to loose my pension, or good money if they closed the doors. But hey it’s not CD fault
It’s not only the T’s that won’t strike many D’s won’t because they don’t have too. So how is that CD fault? I blame past BA’s who allowed this to take place. It divided the union so much and the only way to set the tides is to walk! Who cares if the company shuts the doors? I would rather fight for something and loose than get walked all over by Corporate America who thinks they own a bunch of hungry sweat shop workers. And mess with them by out here riding them everyday harassing them to do more repetitive tasks. While they sit in a cubicle and laugh about it and talk about the members in the floor. Look at these weak minded Schenectady Native Peasants. I do what I get paid for. Then go to my part time job and say no OT. It hey like I said to many fake weak bs talkers in this place. From the lower level managers to 95% of the floor. I feel CD went 110% to bat for the T’s and always has. So no matter what he tries he is going to upset one side of the pay scale or the other because the company is cheap and wants cheap labor division.
The only way to close the gap is to strike over the issue. But to many weak spineless T’s afraid to do that so.
I think CD has his hands tied, the company isn’t going to open the door to close the gap for the lower pay scale. He tried he is not a wizard I believe he went 110% in for the lower pay scale members and I believe the company would not entertain it. I’m a T rate and I’m not at all mad at CD I think and know he tried harder than the last few BA’s we had in office. So if anything when we get any offers from the company vote no. It’s the company and not CD!
“Hopefully you have a a chance to read the financial report!” We need your approval! What a joke. Half of the info isn’t on the report.
It’s not overtime. It’s per diem. More money!
On top of the stipends. Travel and meetings. If it’s on the weekends. They pay themselves 8 hours a day overtime. Guess the stipend isn’t enough.
The worse part is the company pays 40 hours a week at a 28 rate. You would think this would be a conflict of interest.
@fet+1meBznyx Why do you think the same names are at the hall from 25 years ago?
It’s nepotism at its finest!
120,000 isn’t close. Keep going higher.

Union salaries add a 28 rate to salary listed on the LM2 report.
