I think a lot of people are quitting.

It’s difficult to expect a good morale when the industry alone doesn’t lend for it to be any good. It wasn’t like that before, but definitely more the case now.
It’s cut-throat because it is. You work there because you have to and that alone makes your relationship with work like a bad marriage. One where one partner wants out, but really feels pressured to stay. The employee feels there may be something better, and the employer because it sees someone younger that may easily drop their faithful partner of so many years for that younger employee.
Face it, you’re still there because you haven’t found anything yourself. Your employer is also actively working on a list of critical and key employees and that blockhead leader of yours might leave you off of that list in order to get rid of you during the next round of layoffs. Why keep good talent around? The higher ups may notice them and get rid of the manager. Better to lose the competition in order to hold their seat.
Working at XOM can be like a bad marriage. It’s also like the Mafia
If you waited and did not leave for a better job 2021...then 2022 will be more difficult. Increasing interest rates (6 Fed rate increases over next 2 years) will slow the economy and tech sector will slow significantly. Many of you waited too long because the best jobs are already taken.
My dept. is now gone.
2021 attrition was around 35% in my function.
Been in the company for over a decade, had never been this ridiculously high.
Just go and explore the job market. The number of opportunities out there is unbelievable, if you don't see it you are blind.
We are having average level of attrition…nothing different than years past.
Most people that I know that left this year had less than 10 years at EM. Quite a lot of those less than 5. Going to other industries. Greener, but possibly not as secure as O&G.
The Fed has indicated that interest rates will trend upward. I predict an uptick in retirements 1Q22 if this happens.
Add to those potential retirements, all the recent leavers are calling old colleagues and offering higher salaries for them to leave. The more young employees quit, the more recruiters there are out there targeting friends back at EM.
Interesting times ahead as EM prepares to spend big money again.
many good people left even at BTC
YL has ruined Clinton. Contractors are going to replace everyone. Dan O and his c sucking boys are using the place as their own piggy bank. Follow the money. Vijay doesn't even know how to read an audience. He makes jokes, while people are concerned for their livelihood. Remove your head from your a-s.
They have started to post for jobs and the response has been lacking at best. Send out your resume now. Get a new job where you are valued. Just wait till Jan 3rd., so your vacation re ups.
More people have quit in my group in past 11 months than have quit in the last 11 years.
Attrition off the scales.
The people that got exited last year are recruiting for their new companies.
@1yse+1ekoozp5 "The only exodus of Annandale is when YL replaces everyone with contractors" - haven't you seen enough? LOL. It's a wonder that this YL hag is still around to ruin everyone's life.
What did you expect when you lay-off people? Other colleagues are disgusted and decided to leave.
Plus we need to Do More With Less!
@1svr+1ekoozp5 I know 5 people personally in emhc who were waiting for the raises to make their final call. 3 of them are leaving in January, 2 are interviewing.
Are people leaving? I honestly haven’t seen much of a change.
Nothing will happen on January. Maybe a dozen people will leave. Whoever was to leave has left. This is over.
It’s the black box. It’s comIng Jan 3rd. Watch for it
@Annandale Deli hiring LOL NAH. The people at Annandale are pretty desperate. If they haven't leave already. They pretty much staying until things improve or until ILEU gets it together (another lol)
The only exodus of Annandale is when YL replaces everyone with contractors
Mass exodus in Annandale 2022 be ready read between the lies.
I am concerned about what will happen early 2022. I don’t think the “salary increases” motivated anyone to stay. Fasten your seat belts.

Wait until Jan 3
Our supervisor to IC metric is also crazy high.
What groups are losing ppl?
My group will become a pure managerial group after I quit in January. 1 team lead 0 individual contributors!
