Next round of layoffs will hit tomorrow 12/19/2023.
It is somewhat of a smaller amount. The big layoff is still scheduled for around 1/20/2024.
Good luck to all.

Molina leaders are the root cause of OH issues. Shame on them to have made free $$$ and then the worst leaders were those who ran away to greener pastures, leaving behind a big mess to be fixed gradually.
No one they have brought in so far has been able to “fix the mess”.
Gainwell is a magnet for poor leaders.
They are constantly restructuring. They have no clue what they are doing or how to lead this company.
@2ygz+1q8z1RtO, the person in charge of implementations was from Molina, they replaced that person because of poor project performance. They brought in two people from outside to fix the mess.
Except those from EDS times, all others are useless so-called leaders with no spine. Only HP and old timers knew how to lose -2Billion in a year across HP businesses and let the CEO run for governor!
To the person commenting about Molina leadership being part of the problem. To be clear, the Molina leadership was eliminated after the sale. The only ones left were HP, who knew nothing about the system they planned to implement. And had they bothered to listen to any of those who came from Molina, things might have gone smoother.
Remember all the ‘swag’ they wasted money on after company became Gainwell (pins, mugs, masks, etc), mailed out to all employees (SMH)?
There are always those that refuse to accept reality.
They are usually the ones that are left scratching their head when they get let go.
Veritas way overestimated the competence of "leaders" from HMS, Molina and old EDS when they formed Gainwell. Maybe if those people knew what they were doing, we would not be in the position we are. Instead, they brought their agendas and personality politics with them. They gave the "old guard" plenty of time to show results, but nothing happened because many the accounts and implementation projects can't get their act together without supervision. Now outside folks are coming in to do what corporate America does, layoffs and offshoring. Veritas might be the villain, but a bunch of incompetent middle management handed them the kn--e.
That's a real sh---y thing to do before the holidays and to avoid a 401K match, wow. Best wishes to all, my hunch is all of you will do just fine. There's a saying, "What goes around, comes around." Vegas odds would say GWT India "silver bullet" will not work, it's an outdated move. There was plenty of fancy Ivy league and business school education wasted on Veritas if they think moving the IT of state health programs to India is going to be a compelling value proposition when trying to sell it to a greater fool. Like India has nothing better to do or no better money to be made doing this type of work for the states. "Come'on man, seriously?" It's like trying to bring back pet rocks and cabbage patch dolls as Christmas gifts.....way too late. Veritas should have known this was a major mistake when the CEO who sold DXC S&L took the Veritas cash and paid down debt. That DXC CEO common sense said, "I know what you don't know" and I'm going sell it to somebody else. It will be interesting to see who Veritas' greater fool will be. Best wishes to you affected, press on, you will do fine, a bad experience can often be better experience for the future.
Mandatory meeting on Thursday
Every award Gainwell has is bought. None of them are earned or deserved.
Their fake public image is sickening.
They are so unethical it is amazing they are still operating.
Someone on here mentioned that the town halls are like an amway meeting. That’s definitely an accurate statement. They are just to hype up the workforce and to lie to us so we stay uninformed.
The lying and lack of communication is so bad that all employees should be alarmed.
Got my walking orders about 20 minutes ago.
What a sh-t company.
It’s all about money with them. Of course they want to avoid the 401k match in January.
Any company that does a once a year match isn’t thinking about the employee. They are thinking about themselves and how that could save them money. Think about it. If they match every paycheck like a normal company that is money out of pocket each pay period. But if they wait and do it once a year they don’t have to pay any of those employees that leave or get fired throughout the year. Huge savings for the company. And a HUGE FU to the employees.
It seems like a pretty decent sized hit today for layoffs.
The leaders at Gainwell sure know how to show people that they su-k.
Thank you sir may I have another!
It’s been nice working with everyone. Mandatory meeting on my calendar for tomorrow.
They can not wait after the holidays.. 401K match is in Jan.. go figure!!
Good luck to anyone getting let go this week. It’s a terrible time of year to be let go but we will be better off not working for Gainwell in the long run.
Mandatory meeting on my calendar for this afternoon.
I woke up this morning and noticed my manager sent me a mandatory meeting with just me and him. He sent it at 3am.
Looks like I’m next.
doubt it.
Gainwell just couldnt wait until after the holidays could they?
Clearly this shows that all employees have no value to them.
