IT issues

I like how there is an equal amount of GC questions about IT issues and wages. Who is enjoying Microsoft 365? Talk about a terrible decision. Whose idea was it to switch to Microsoft? Some consultant? Which? Are we still paying them? Are they the same people that told IT to outsource? WHY? So so many issues. Who can we give a vote of no confidence to, in a parallel universe where our voice matters? In the meantime I will wait for teams to load chats and restart it 5 times a day. At least things in citrix desktop are faster now.

@1wzv+1gGdys3l I have an old zbook, everything runs fine most of the time. I have the same issue as others, chats with more than 10-20 people fail to load at some point and I need to restart teams. I created a ticket as advised, haven't received any updates.

and as @1ljv+1gGdys3l pointed out, there are so many features that I miss from Google that affect productivity and collaboration

Extremely poor roll out of this ….

Only if a computer based company helped out…

Oh yea GF is a computer product based company…

Irony - egg on face. It’s embarrassing

New laptops have touchscreen and very fast. They use USB-C connector. M365 works perfectly on them.

@1ljv Did they actually get you a new laptop or is it a laptop of an employee that left

@1ecc disagree on multiple points. OP only highlighted performance issues, but it lacks many useful features that Google workspace offers. Oh and I had my laptop "refreshed" and I still have issues with teams and outlook.

The problem is that they do not have money to even buy new laptops since forever and then they got the reason that it was because of COVID.

Yea very poor leadership decision. The justification we heard was it will optimize things/stream line and therefore reduce costs and inefficiency.

The reality as you all know is it did exact opposite. It added to delays and made everything take longer. Time is money. Leadership and management are seriously amateurs at best company wide.

M365 is fine, the problem is the hardware should have been updated first. GF IT decision makers haven't made a good decision since 2011
