Impossible to meet deadlines

Unrealistic deadlines seem to have become a common practice at CS. I think that this is a recipe for disaster. I wonder if you are even trying to meet unrealistic deadlines? I'm starting to ignore that kind of pressure. I really don't know any other way to deal with impossible deadlines?

I'm getting a $60K bonus for my hard work this Friday. May not be that big of a reward for others, but it sure works for me.

Schwab does not reward hard work. Just kiss your managers a s s . Just say YES.

This is the Dennis Howard way.

I am knocking it out with time to spare. Yes, one day, I may have stretched myself so far, and I run out of buffer room. And then I will no longer be able to meet the high bar, that I helped set when I was young. But until that day comes, and it has not come yet, because this Friday is going to be a good day from my awesome and well deserved rating. Until that day comes. And again, it has not come yet, I will continue to knock it out.

Keep ignoring it. If you stretch yourself make it happen, you set the bar unreasonably high. Management has to learn somehow... They won't if things keep getting done.

What do you mean? I'm knocking out all my commitments, and meeting every single deadline. With time to spare. That is why I got FAR EXCEEDS. $60K baby come this Friday.
