DP- Vaccines required for business travel.

During the HSE open mike, DP announced that vaccines will be required for business travel. Funny how quickly they forgot that they said they will not require it unless the law required it.

@1nla: I may not agree, but I respect that response! My favorite so far. Cheers!

Simple, I'd rather forgo Lord Fauci placing his sacrament on my tongue. I'll take my risks knowing that this too shall pass and I don't need to disproportionately react because someone fake-collapsed in a Wuhan street and the grifters rode this all the way to the back.

@Ygg: It's not a secret that the vax is less than 100% effective. It's also not a secret that the more people who get the vaccine contribute to herd immunity which in effect contributes to protecting everyone. So...your point is?

How are they being self-centered if everyone that wants the needle receives the needle?
That would leave only us selfish folks, and you've already stated how you feel about what should happen to us.

Lest you need reminding, the effectiveness of your injection shouldn't be dependent on whether others have received it or not. You sound like you have doubts.

You are selfish and self centered. If they can't make you get the shot they can certainly ban you from Chevron facilities. Get the shots or take a hike. Better yet just stay home.

@lxg, You can live in fantasyland and make up rules as you go along, but in the real world, there are laws and you have rights. If you are already employed by Chevron, they cannot let you go for refusing to take an EUA vaccination. They can however choose not to hire you if you’re an new outside applicant trying to get a job in the company.

DP caring or not caring doesn't change the fact that Chevron must operate in accordance to state and US law.

When that private company threatens my employment based on my private medical decisions, yes i will “nag and whine.”

When that private company treats me like a second class citizen based on my vax status (can no longer use on site gyms unless youre vaxed), yes i will “nag and whine.”

When that company says it wont require vaccines one day, then requires them the next as a condition of employment, yes i will “nag and whine.”

Ill “nag and whine” when my personal freedom is treated as less important than a mega-corps freedom to discriminate against its employees.

Maybe because a corporation cannot have policies that violate state and US law.

You care about freedom, yet you continue to nag and whine about a private company's health and safety rules? They don't even apply to you?

Because WE (im not alone here, genius) care about freedom, liberty, and privacy. A corporation should not have the right to enforce this policy. Simple as that.

FDA must ensure that recipients of the vaccine under an EUA are informed, to the extent practicable given the applicable circumstances, that FDA has authorized the emergency use of the vaccine, of the known and potential benefits and risks, the extent to which such benefits and risks are unknown, that they HAVE THE OPTION TO REFUSE OR ACCEPT the vaccine, and of any available alternatives to the product. Typically, this information is communicated in a patient “fact sheet.” The FDA posts these fact sheets on our website.

Heres a quote directly from the FDA in regards to enforcing a EUA vaccine.
We have the right to refuse.

Dude why are you so hung up on Chevron vaccine policy? It's not like you will be traveling anytime soon for this company. Just give up, no one cares.

If you're a Texas-based employee you should contact the Governor's office.

actual science - the more people get vaccinated, the less opportunity the. virus has to replicate and mutate. Mutations potentially cause new variants that will continue waves of outbreaks, causing more death or long term effects on individuals, burden on the healthcare system, etc

But if you’re vaccinated, aren’t you protected from the non -vaxers? Science

Polio vaccine, FDA approved with long term studies.
Covid Vaccine, Emergency use authorization only, no long term studies. Miraculously developed 3 in 9 months with brand new spike protein tech, but guaranteed safe by people who have no idea if it actually is.

One of these things is not like the other.

Luckily, chevron will now be held accountable (per osha) for all side effects for vaccines required for traveling employees. Every side effect reported becomes a recordable as it is now considered a work related injury. See for yourself on osha.gov’s vaccine faq site.
Its amazing, seems we’re not as “inclusive” as we though we were when it comes to individuals medical choices.

I agree with DP.
Take the politics out. My Marin County neighbors sent their non vaccinated kids with measles to school and started getting the entire school sick 3 years ago. They had to close the school for two weeks. The non vaxers need to keep the kids at home and the non vaxers travelers need to stay home

Once in awhile they use common sense. Turn off CNN, FOX, MSNBC and NewsMax and read the non biased research papers coming out of UK, Israel and US research labs. Go back 70 years and read the press and they said the same thing about Polio. If you do not want a shot don't travel . If you do not like the rules start your own company.

That is DP. He is always contradicting himself. My favorite line from him is that no one from HSE would loose their job during the reorganization and then he cuts 25%. How does CVX keep this guy on.

I am in D&C and I remember how he said he treats everyone the same. His daughter joins D&C and she starts being promoted year after year, gets listed as a HIPOT etc. All requirements that he established that must be achieved before moving to the next level or removed for her.

The guy has not understanding of Honesty or Integrity. We are still suffering in D&C from all the mess he made here.
