Why would any company go to IBM for architecting and managing their cloud presence on AWS/Azure/GCP/etc..? It doesn't seem like IBM has any clue or incite into how to do any of this.

There's nothing free on AWS and Azure. Quite the opposite. Almost everything has a price. For moving, they only provide the tools. You still need people to do discovery, app affinity, make the wave planning and of couse execute the plan. No one does that for free. AWS and Azure do offer some funding to partners to move larger landscapes to their cloud.
Meanwhile we still all have quotas to sell IBM cloud through partners while the rest of IBM wants to sell AWS/GCP/Azure.
It’s like Ford selling BMW, Mercedes and Audi cars directly while telling the dealers to keep selling Fords.
With all the IBM cloud outages why would anyone choose them ?
Wait IBM has a cloud business..?
Microsoft and AWS offer services for pretty much free once you decide to move your stuff to their Cloud. IBM wants to charge clients to help them move their stuff to Azure and AWS. IBM is just plain d-mb, and clients will not go for that.
IBM is CLUELESS! And GR is still a POS!
