Congress this and congress that.
It would take an act of God to force me to work under another unfair contract.
Congress LOL

Give the jobs to the illegal aliens to have!
The UP can go back to 5 man train crews for like 5 dollars a day like the FdM dies south of the so call border.
Fritz is a major accomplishment to breaking Unions and worsening the working conditions at the Yellow Peril.
I support the BRS too, not in that union, will honor them and strike too.
Ok you said no to the contract. Ok now what? You hold out for a better one or you go on strike? Let's say you do go on strike for a better contract. How long do you really think the strike will last? Do you think the strike will last as long as it needs to, so you can get a better one? Yeah the contract sucks in every way, that's why I quit that hellhole a year ago. I had enough of the sh-t, but are you aware that a contract can in fact be forced onto its members? If that were to happen, then literally any contract would be forced through to keep a strike from happening. The only thing I'm saying is that the constant unwillingness to agree to a contract and the desire to strike IS NOT GOING TO GO THE WAY YOU THINK! If you think a strike needs to happen to prove your point, then good luck to you
@4ggf When ever I hear "contractor" I laugh. Bring em out here and prove it. Show me these contractors ready to come and keep the trains moving. If the carrier wants to spend millions to train scabs and the scabs want to come and do these jobs for less money, they can have at it. I will gladly move on and go do something else.
Glad BRS said no. I am ready to go on strike . Not much diesel fuel left in America anyway . Thanks Joe biden
Contractors will take the union BRS jobs just like TEY will be replaced with scabs and other crafts that were once union jobs. Adios
UP= underpaid
@1bqu no I don't "think" they're gonna add jobs back UNLESS its persistently costs them money by work going undone. I simply do not understand voting no to this contract for sick days. If the majority of signal voted no bcuz they are demanding the rumored $5 an hour xtra for responsibility pay, that I can understand. Again if we gain sick days, great! But for myself and my adjoining maintainers (discussed w/ them this morning) we all agree someone (relief maintainers for ex) needs to do the scheduled work THAT day when the regularly scheduled employee is not at work that day. For those not responsible for short term fra tests you might not understand us.
You said no? It’s ok. Congress will write your agreement. Good luck.
This was the company’s one time to get it right and make it right forever they could easily have said we are making record profits and we want to reward labor for helping to do that but remember at the next contract negotiations we may not be doing as well so we voted no to the TA be prepared to take the PEB just because we voted no doesn’t mean it will get better they keep telling us because democrats are in power they will take care of us although I hope they are right I suspect when they make us take the PEB we will all know the truth
Dude really thinks that the company will ADD man power LOL. Must not been on railroad long. Not adding jobs dude. The ship sailed years ago.
@1vet I am not a manager, nor would I ever be one. Ive never been described as an id--t by anyone who has met me. In my current situation it is my position that sick days are not a priority. Ive got a lot of seniority and have been blessed w/ good health for most of my life. I understand others may be under different circumstances. I stand by my statement that signal maintenance needs relief maintainers much more than sick days.
1wr is either an id--t or a manager. Either way he is 100 percent wrong.
I’m in the maintenance side and I am shocked we voted no. Starting to think I may suffer from stockholm syndrome. Ive never thought I needed sick days, I do think what we need is the relief maintainers back. We dont have enough people when everyone is here! The last thing my work group needs is us taking more time off w/o relief maintainers. The overtime is brutal and we’re exhausted but our manager is complaining we need to be available more often too. Was it construction guys on y5 y6 that voted No bcuz they want sick days?
Underpaid
Overworked
Disrespected
VOTE NO!!!
Pay everyone more money or we strike.
There should be some penalties for delaying a contract for year's.
$1K yearly bonus is an insult especially when you offer $25K bonuses to new hires.
Cap on medical.
Cap on union dues.
Going to need at least a 30% IMMEDIATE bump in pay.
You cut the workforce by at least 30% and we've picked up the slack for 24% COMPOUNDED?
NO DEAL!!!
That would improve my "quality of life".
