Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Dear Ownwers and Board

Our Company has lost 20% of its value in a week. When do you call time on this dreadful Executive Leadership Team?

From valueinvesting.io

ViaSat Probability of Bankruptcy
The Probability of Bankruptcy of ViaSat Inc (VSAT) is 50.9% . This number represents the probability that ViaSat will face financial distress in the next 24 months given its current fundamentals and market conditions.
Multiple factors are taken into account when calculating ViaSat's probability of bankruptcy : Altman Z-score, Beneish M-score, financial position, macro environments, academic research about distress risk and more.

Not sure about its credibility, but below is the link:

Just returned to this thread after posing the ELT definition replacement competition. My goodness…I haven’t laughed so hard in ages…I bow down to your combined creative geniuses. Bravo everyone and thanks as there are some brilliant submissions below. Pick your favourite and substitute any mentions in the (now earlier) Earnings All Hands call tomorrow

No no no, you guys have it all wrong. ETL stands for what comes out of their mouths during all hands meetings, not the team itself.

Is Guru hunkered down in a bunker now? Haven't seen any selfies or fruitless interviews conducted in months. As I'm not seeing any meaningful operational changes, I can't assume he is working either.

“dreadful Executive Leadership Team”
I think that they should be referred to as what they actually are given they fit none of those words. Sadly I can’t come up with a witty replacement that still spells ELT though. Prize on offer for anyone who can!

Why would Elon Musk partner with a company that uses archaic technology?

Let me help with you with this letter to the fiduciaries on the board. We have been on this train for a very long time. We have heard all the excuses and hopelessly unconvincing strategies. I could list the litany from over the years, however the point is there is only one thing left that misplaced religion has prevented executives from doing and that is the one last thing capable of convincing the markets we are not on a self-exiled sinking island of satcom irrelevancy.

Partner.
With.
StarLink.

Drop the silly regulatory actions against them as those were never going to yield benefits to Viasat, customers, or shareholders. Drop the silly MSSA which is just a gaggle of industry laggards huddling together that are far too late to the D2D party. Drop the unserious LEO hankypanky with the likes of OneWeb (insufficent satellites to make a dent) or with Lightspeed (so many years away, if ever). Drop all the nonsense, it is not working. Accept that Viasat (meaning you as executives and board) underestimated StarLink, they've established high capacity LEO as a reality and as beneficial to customers, they are not going away and Viasat is not going get ahead of them on its current path. If we are the leader in GEO, then all our talk of multi-orbit networks is unconvincing by not working with the undisputed leader in LEO. Customers and investors understand this. Stop anything else and develop a commercial arrangement with StarLink to stop this slide into irrelevancy. We have dismissed opportunities in the past to partner, perhaps that window has passed or perhaps not, but the sum of your energies in other strategies hasn't acheived anything.

Let’s give Craig Miller a chance to fix this in the investor forum tomorrow.
I figure our Elite have briefed him well and given him all the good we-pons.
And then let’s look forward to hearing from our Top Team at the All Hands.
