Can anyone tell me where one tech out has ever been successful?? It has been a complete failure in CT, and the company wants to double down on this theory that one tech can do it all.

Hey Greg , First they took your bucket truck away ,then you got screwed out of the Ohio trip no sst2 techs allowed to go And now that we are all the same title sst1 your getting Hit again, another bucket truck given to a tech with less then half the years of service and experience that you have . That really s—s.
One tech out means one technician does the entire install from CO to outside plant to inside the premises.
So instead of putting a ticket in to have an outside tech fix trouble on the outside line and another one for a CO tech if needed while the installer does the work inside and has the customer happily up and running in a reasonable time, the customer can sit around and waste an entire day of his valuable time as one tech spends an entire day (or more) doing the work of three.
One tech out does not work. I have worked for three different companies and 2 of them use it. The 2 that use it have extremely bad cable conditions. The one that doesn’t use it the cable is in good shape. I never had to use my toner in the cable. Unless you work in an extremely small exchange that has relatively new cable (<25 years old) then get ready for the cable to become a huge mess or even worse if it is already bad.
I feel dumber after reading this post
So would one tech out include CO Techs? If so I would love to watch that. Lol. I’m a CO Tech myself but can’t imagine watching some of these CO Techs that can barely walk try to climb a ladder. I would almost pay to watch that.
@1tpa+13faHM65 if it is so self explanatory, please explain the alternative? Are some states sending 2 techs out?
What’s the alternative? Two techs out or three techs out? Never heard of anything but one tech out?
This isn’t hard to figure out. Read the last four words.
What is this one tech out you speak of?
What is "one tech out"? I dont think we have heard this in WI
I am shocked that FTR would double down on a bad policy!
Worked good at Centurylink. When I was a tech there. However we all had bucket trucks...
happens everyday in WV.....s— it up
One tech out, the technicians will be calling there bosses at 11:00 am to take the three jobs they have behind them off of him so he can troubleshoot a mile of cable off his ladder if he can even reach some of the splices safely, more missed commitments
