Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Overcorrected?

Starting to see new org charts roll out at PFNA. It really seems like the company continues to overcorrect with more and more senior leaders being female and POC. It’s blatantly obvious now that the white man has to future there. They’re slowly pushing out all the tenured white males.
But nobody will say it - reverse racism (and s-xism) is alive and well at PepsiCo!

Whatever happened to hiring the person who is most qualified regardless of race, gender, s-xual orientation, gender identity, etc?

Please don’t say reverse racism. That implies only white people are racist. It is just racism and can be found in almost every country in the world with or without white people. This is just racism against white people.

What you should be more concerned about is the moving of PROFESSIONAL SKILLED jobs to - Mexico and India. (Fixed it for you)

How is it reverse discrimination if white people have been the majority and worked very hard to maintain that through slavery, white supremacy, family dynasties, secret societies etc? I call it "leveling the playing field". If you are going to cry reverse discrimination, at least state what you believe the alternative is. What are your suggestions? Just as @1szy+1rUVkR05 said, you imply because leadership positions are held by women and people of color means they are not qualified. The world is full of people that are different from each other in a myriad of ways. There is no harm in honoring this difference and using it as a tool to push forward the growth of a company.

What you should be more concerned about is the moving of PROFESSIONAL SKILLED jobs to Plano, TX, Mexico and India.

I agree in some instances. When you have people at the director+ level being accused of s-xual harassment by multiple people, but they keep their job, it makes me wonder if this individuals race is protecting them.

Ironic! I am minority female and I feel they are getting rid of a lot females including minorities. Perhaps you need to look deeper than your own department. I was one of them and saw many others like me getting laid of as well. I think most jobs are going overseas.

“Super woke” ?!?
Boo fu--ing hoo...

CPG Companies are wise enough to know that they need to resemble their customers and consumers ... I say this as an older white guy - we have a LOT of work to do as far as a company.

i was in a managers meeting a couple weeks ago and couldn’t help but notice EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US at the conference room table were age 30-55 puffy white guys, balding with beards ... all wearing the same company-issued rah-rah non-cotton stuff ... several of these guys at the conference table can be counted on to do sh---y work - didn’t deserve to be a manager IMHO

BREAKING NEWS: We aren’t building rockets . So you can just spare me with your whiny DEI dogwhistles - merely makes you look even d-mber

The person saying reverse discrimination is not a thing. You’re right. It’s simply discrimination.

Reverse discrimination is not a thing. I am proud that PepsiCo is working to make sure everyone has a seat at the table, especially if they've been kept apart from it.

Which orgs are you talking about? S&T has zero POC senior leaders. Someone on here is entitled.

They cost less and put up with more sh-t, same reason the company is so eager to offshore for pennies on the dollar

What's implied in this statement is that the people in leadership positions could not possibly be the most qualified, specifically because they are women or people of color. That's a pretty ugly thought.
