I know it's early but does anyone know where the EOI will be? Mikey said something like "some locations" - I'm guessing US only?

@1xva+1vQDA7G1 It’s clear this whole situation is bringing out the worst in people. Glad you have job security, I wish that was the same for many of us. But sadly it’s not. Just trying to commiserate with those that have uncertain futures.
@1syf+1vQDA7G1 Aaaw. Did i hurt your feelings snowflake? And btw that is so low of you to look down at people’s job whos prolly on the safe side than you are. Continue being bitter sweetie
Well bless your heart @1xva+1vQDA7G1 ! Now could you put your phone down and help these customers? We’ve got folks here who want to pay cash and by the looks of those teenagers they’re hungry for junk food. And when you’re done with queue could you clean the restroom?
@diu+1vQDA7G1 “I have marketable skills and am underpaid” why not leave the company then? Oh wait, cant find external companies who can take you eh?
Guess you arent marketable as you think you are.
Imagine the captain of the Titanic has survived and then sunk another ship. So, amazingly, his employer moved him onto a train only for that to crash. From there he only moved up to planes with delayed departures and late arrivals and the odd crash. But the company persisted with him and his cabin crew of a similar standard. The smart passengers wanted off because they knew the captain would never leave. That's the ABU in a nutshell so bring on the EOI.
EOI will take out that “old mindset” and they can hire fresh blood (Engine) or (even in US w low psg) w much less pay and less pension from the outside - this is what MW wants, new ideas new people and not folks coasting for decades who knows the system to milk it…
i personally enjoy working w horizons or recent horizons grads since they dont complain and get sh*t done
Why not just coast/max pto/sick leave etc until eoi?
@xrh+1vQDA7G1 I’m right there with you. I’d love to EOI and take a vacation but don’t think I’ll make it that long. I have marketable skills and am underpaid. Sticking around just to get gaslit another year is not palatable.
I would EOI but I don’t think I’ll last that long. Leaving this dumpster fire for something better as soon as an offer comes through. Which, sadly, is what MW wants at this point.
Happy for those that can EOI, they earned it. But how many folks do you think would realistically do it?
Whoever hits the EOI button has to drink!
SJVBU can surely use that EOI!
Anyone in the US will be able to hit the EOI button if they have to post for jobs. Whether you get it in your location depends on if they want to lose you. About 99% chance you’ll get it since the critical few will be deemed not in play for musical chairs. They won’t have an EOI option.
Imma gonna mash that button so hard when it arrives. Bring it on
San Ramon is a gimme. Probably ABU. Maybe offices still left in UK. Maybe RBU out in CO. Maybe SJV offices. Probably Houston to a lesser degree. Not sure if NMA or SASBU have any governmental rules regarding layoffs and severance packages or not.
It’s hard to say. Everyone laid off or forced to relocate should get EOI/Severance. We have dedicated our careers at Chevron. This business decision right before a recession is crushing.
It would make sense to allow those in San Ramon to EOI first.
Based upon my conversations with Baby Boomer and older Gen X employees, this is the event they've been waiting for. We're going to see a level of EOI never experienced before. Some people are ready to retire, others want to get off the train. Good for them!
It's a win-win for people who want to be here regardless of others opinions on the current state of the company.
