These people are scallywags make no mistake and not in a good way.
Schwab is the most skilled company ever at hiring executives that are at the top of there game for straight faced lying.
No respect for any of them

@1svd+1odtgHOZ "I don’t feel for these rich white dudes..." Perhaps calling CS a sweatshop is a bit over the top but we all work hard here and it is increasingly difficult to keep a positive mental attitude and work ethics and definitely we are underpaid, if you ask me, that is.
I am not rich by any stretch of imagination but about the 6 figures incomes, let me give you a quick example... apart from the regular working hours as an EXEMPT employee, try neglecting your family and working on the weekends correcting your team fu-k-ups. Try deploying the latest version of software to production at 8PM+, sometimes ending at 1AM on Friday after 5+ meetings with devops and getting the approvals. Try mentoring the "non-white dudes" from offshore at 4AM most of which will quit within months so all your efforts go to sh-t, well at least they say "thank you". Try sitting on a panel interviewing people only to hear that we have to hire them anyway because they fit certain politically correct profile. Try to keep your skill set up to date because in 1-2 years it will be already obsolete with all the new technologies coming out. Try dealing with never-ending changes to some approval or change management process because CS is always eager to hire some hot shot claiming they possess some intimate knowledge of the "Best Practices".
Go right ahead. Volunteer. Do it, nobody is stopping you. Maybe you will be hired at a lower level than me and make $30k+ more than I do, as have been happening recently.
I'm not bitter, it's just a reality. Stay safe.
Except that sweatshops were typically for exploitation of women and children who worked long hours, with low pay in unhealthy working conditions. I don’t feel for these rich white dudes claiming to be working in a sweatshop in their house making $70-300k
Sweat shop is a term used by old time tech people. Some shops were specifically known for being sweat shops mostly in the 80s and 90s. A boiler room is securities related. They are hard core sales people trying to get as much of the customers money as possible.
It’s called Boiler Room
