Farley said if they meet the demands that Ford will go bankrupt. I say strike until they cave and declare bankruptcy in a year, maybe then they’ll get some real leadership and actually have shareholders in charge of the company and not the ford family.
At least then you can bring back the people that actually do work and not the people that kiss a**.

Ford has sold nearly 15k BEVs in Q2 2023. This is 7x as many BEVs as Lucid sold. Lucid's CEO gets $379M in annual compensation so the Ford CEO should get 7 x $379M = $2.6B in compensation. Jim F.

The calculation we were given is that every day of strike is about 170 full timers they have to cut.

Great email from JF tonight updating us on the status of the negotiations with the UAW. I have high confidence our executive team will get the best deal for Ford and its hourly work force and avoid a strike.
That is a demonstration of leadership.

The UAW will get most of their demands. Since the white collar engineers are invisible to the public, white collar jobs will be cut to pay for the UAW demands. There were massive recalls in 2022, and the white collar jobs were cut to pay for the losses.
Cuts in the factory jobs would be very bad PR, cuts in the white jobs mean nothing.
