I have been working at SF for a long time and the changes for the worse started happening much earlier, but it is terrible how much this company has collapsed in just the last year.
I can't even imagine what everything will look like in a few more years, since I don't think there is any intention for SF to fix any problems, and the problems have already piled up.
As a reitiree, the only response I can say to you is I am so sorry you have to live with a company who when I started never had the values nor ethics of the SF today. Be assured you are not the only one who feels the way you do. Many more feel the same but live in fear to express their opinions. SF feeds off that fear to your demise. Knowing that puts you in control. Do not fear them. The company and its leadership carries so much baggage. Know you are not alone and it is not your responsibility the company has turned into a cesspool.
Bitter and afraid. You realize your upbring in some podunk town and movenent to the the big city of bloomington to realize your dreams only to realize we live in a global society and gettign the best table at avantis amounts to nothing. I fear for your entitled children.
Look up National Law Review to see where State Farm ranks in operations and its comments appertaining to CEO Tipsord. Shameful! This is not only operations fault but due diligence on the agents behalf to insure the policyholder. IMO it's a lack of educating the customer. They create their own reputation.
Wrong! Very wrong! The day anyone thinks they are smarter than anyone else makes them ignorant. Some of the smartest and richest people I have met do not have a high school diploma. They earned their wealth by being honest and a hard work ethic. Mommy and Daddy didn't pay their way nor were they some cporate crony schmo!
Not accurate. They really are smarter, more talented, more committed, and generally more successful than you. It is cute you think average is the ceiling for all.
BE HAPPY YOU HAVE A JOB! How totalitarian that is? See how they think their doing you a favor for what you worked for and how they don't want to hear your opinion about how to make things better? It's all about power and control over you. If you have to be alone is not bad. Don't let anyone have power and control over you because no one (including those with big titles) is better or has control over you unless you let them. They show their hypocrisy when they say quit. Just goes to show how they preach inclusion and then do opposite. It's not only true in a job but life as well.

Agency, claims, and underwriting were the triad that made SF the best insurance company in the world. It certainly wasn’t our tech teams or consulting firms. Now, we’re pseudo modeled after a manufacturing plant or at best a bad insurance company.
If only you could figure out a way to sneak past the armed guards and razor wire to escape.
Lets face it, claims has always been a tough job but pay was ok and good benefits. The company valued your work. Now they have taken all that away. Why do this work for a thankless employer?
They need to get rid of more “analysts” who don’t do a thing.
Sounds like underwriting and claims suck, but the rest of the company is pretty good to work for.
Remember! They give you nothing! You earn it. Be confident their decisions are not always right and they will never admit it. The only thing that kept me sane was the customer not "them." Go with the customer and not "them." If you let them, they will run you into the ground..
State Farm stinks, got it. The OP creates essentially the same thread day after day. Occasionally he mixes it up with some inane political post. It's tiresome, bud. The job market is picking up steam. If State Farm is making you so miserable look elsewhere. If you think execs read this board and will be shamed into changing their ways, fat chance. The Farm has some social media people monitoring this site but that's about it.

Get over it cupcake. You can stay and go down with the ship or you can save your health and mental stability and tell them to stuff it. They obviously only care about theirs.
They don't know how to fix the mess they have made. Because they don't know what they are doing they hire a bunch of consulting companies who know nothing about our industry. That's how you get a service company turned into a manufacturing company. Square peg in a round whole. Mo--nic. Fire leadership and the board.
Unless you’re close to retirement, I would suggest updating your resume and start looking for opportunities elsewhere. Because it’s only going to get worse, not better.
