This means if we didn’t see one then we are left standing? I never see recall notes unless I’m live in the system and open the original first.

The TO letters came out early this morning instead of the originally communicated Tuesday timeline. Good luck everybody!

Well in R3 I was informed by the select rep (not really sure the job owner was, but I assume department heads). In R4 with teams (chapters) in place it very well might be the job owners who make the happy calls and the selection reps who are stuck with the death notices.

@2ofc - don't get offended for being called out as a clueless guy. nobody knows who you are since this is anonymous. good try though. i'm surprised you even came back to try to defend your incorrect statements. good luck on Tuesday, everyone.

To ExNoble. Chevron HR works overtime each and every day. There is a lot of work to be done by our dedicated HR professionals. I have no complaints about our HR.

Ex-Noble here... hey @2tcr, does Chevron HR actually ever work a minute of overtime much less on the weekend? Noble’s HR would never work on a weekend or stay late during the week, that behavior is reserved for the folks in the profit centers. For that reason Noble layoffs were always on Tuesdays.

The reason Notifications are on Tuesday is because Round 4 HR Selections start tomorrow. A lot of moving parts in a tight deadline. Not a happy time for anyone.

Notifications begin Tuesday? Why not Monday? HR should have been working all weekend in this.

The moderator(s) here must work for Twitter or Facebook. Your layoff probability will go up if a certain person is elected. This post will be soon deleted, but all of you know who I am referring to.

@2yze+17zXUktc Tuesday? That’s disappointing. Why can’t anything in this process ever start on time. HR should have been working the weekend on this.

Not the R4 job owner - any idea what time the letters are expected to be sent to the job owners?

@2bmc wrong. That doesn’t even make sense.

Why would a selection rep who knows nothing about the jobs I applied to be the appropriate person to congratulate me on the job I got? Of course it will be the job owner or delegate.

Like in a PDC, your PDR isn’t the one who tells you about your new job. It’s the job owner who makes the offer.

I’m a job owner in R4. And TO (HR) provided multiple info sessions where this information was shared.

On Tuesday, offer letters will be sent via email to job owners and they’ll make the calls and then email the selected candidates the offer letters, which they’ll have to sign by Friday or it will be deemed a resignation and thus no severance.

Selection representatives have the unpleasant job of scheduling 30 minute meetings with unsuccessful candidates with HR to deliver the message of left standing.

So... no, it’s not the same person, and you really don’t want to hear from your selection rep unless you have submitted your EOI.

You’re kind of an id–t. The guy from R3 is making a point that it isn’t the same person contacting you, so leaving it “ambiguous” is incorrect.

If your are successful, it is the job owner who contacts you. If you are unsuccessful, it is the selection rep who contacts you. In very very rare cases, it might be the same person. But in general, the selection rep and the job owner are not the same people.

And I agree that TO will keep it consistent from R3 to R4. Sorry if you’re butt hurt that you’re wrong.

@2wpu, Where did I mention anything about a selection rep or job owner? I said the “same person as”, leaving it ambiguous. Also, I mentioned R4, nothing about R3 or much less R2. You must be reading things from somewhere else or your comprehension abilities are slipping.

@2bmc, that’s just not true. I was in R3, and I never heard from my selection rep. It was the job owner who contacted me with the job. The same was true for R2. I think HR will keep this consistent for R4.

In fact, some selection reps already had their last day this week. It’ll be the job owner who contacts you if you get a job.

Who is it that contacts you if you’re successful in getting a job in R4? Answer: The same person who will contact you if you’re unsuccessful.

@1oaj, you will be one of the first contacted, as it's obvious that the news will be to pack your bags and get going.

the transformation office (HR) will generate the offer letters, but those are sent to the job owners who will then communicate the job offer. if you hear from your selection rep, that is bad news. (unless of course, you submitted your EOI, and they'll just communicate that it's been approved. pretty much 100% of those were approved. then you'll want to hear from your rep.)

@1rey - incorrect. formally if you hear from your selection rep, you've been left standing. if you were selected for a job. the job owner or delegate will either simply email you the offer letter, or they'll reach out with a verbal job offer. you'll have until friday to sign it.

Formally it must come from the selection rep, although the owner can tell you informally. The “real” notifications (job offer) comes from HR with a short fuse link to accept (probably before the end of the week). This is why they tell the successful first, so they have time to reply, and the left standing calls come later in the week. Good luck everyone, no problem one enjoys this sh–.
