Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

But Are You Happy at PepsiCo?

Is there anyone who still enjoy working here. I am not trolling, it's a frank question.

I'm also a college hire and I honestly want to leave but the only reason I'm not is that I can't afford to pay back the bonus. I'm so miserable here. As the other comments said there is zero training or guidance. My manager straight up told me that this is a hustle culture and to be a driver when I asked for help. Everyone on my team works around the clock

guessing the only happy employees are the c-band who make the $$$ off this sl------r, and those working in Bratislav, India and Mexico!

Enjoyment and work-life balance can only be found on the teams most at risk, from what I hear

Been here 2 months and was honestly hoping I’d be laid off. I’m also quitting next week. Everyone is so overworked and everything is so disorganized. I never even got properly onboarded before being thrown into a project and I’m entry level.

Hate it. Been here 3 months and quitting next week. Wish I’d been part of this round of layoffs.

Offshoring everything in the US to hubs. I was called today. Cold and scripted. Honestly, its a relief my physical and mental health is non-existent. Ridiculous hours and expectations. Doing the job of 4 people on a good day.
This is about executive bonuses and paying dividends. We will land on our feet!

I worked in the field for 35 years. I will tell everyone When deciding layoffs we used to ask ourselves 2 important question's. Who, if gone tomorrow would not impact the day to day business of our field teams? If we lose them will it hurt us in our battle vs beverage competitors?

If the answer is N,N then the decision was made.

You can’t sell enough incremental 20oz to pay the salary of the N,N column.

For all the young new to pepsico talent my advice is to stay in the field and stay Y,Y

I'm in R&D and it think it depends on what team you're on. Some teams have better management that isn't micromanage-y at its core, while others are more lax. I feel like R&D has more bad managers than now than when I joined.

Kudos to the IT guy that put a bug in the SmartR app causing it to constantly crash before they were canned. Well played!

I left a year ago after 28 years with the company. I left on my own terms and so happy I did. There is life outside of that company and jobs with a he-l of a lot less stress that pay more money. I was miserable the last few years there and could not be happier to be gone. I am thankful for the experiences I gained throughout my career but even more thankful to be using those experiences elsewhere.

Faster, stronger, sicker. That’s classic! And so true. I have been in misery for the last 12 months and based on this post, seems like “misery loves company” indeed.

Take care of yourselves!

Was the greatest job 18 years ago at the largest private bottler.. now just horrid, nothing but people making decisions who have never stepped foot in an account for more than a 10 minute tour before lunch.

So happy I left the PepsiCo earlier this year. Over 20 years of abuse was enough. It literally got worse by the day. If you're affected by this consider it a blessing. I'm making over 40% more and have very little stress (compared to PepsiCo). There are better and more stable companies out there that actually care about people. Good luck!

This company is horrid! It gets more so every day. I don’t know anyone on my team who likes going to work any longer. The people who run this gargantuan house of misery are void of any sense of compassion. Nothing but virtue signaling and kissing up to the media.

I am willing to guess a few - Ramon and the boys in NY, Dallas and Chicago.

Everyone else is hanging on for dear life.

I had a complete physical and mental breakdown at work this morning from long term chronic illness exacerbated by doing two jobs now for 8 months with zero days off.

My colleagues were wonderfully supportive - the management seemingly could care less if I had dropped dead on the floor.

One less person to pay severance to.

This entire company is a horror movie with a bad ending.

The only sequel to this disaster flick - that makes sense - is called find another job in another company.

Hey Ramon - you proud of yourself? Faster, stronger, sicker.

Anyone smiling now?
