Hi I have seen a lot of postings from jobs in GMSD department in Dhahran. Has anyone worked there before? What do they do there and how it is like in there? Is it a new department?

Sounds like the Refining Technical Support Division (RTSD) grew up.
Is the department still located at TR, or did it move down to Dhahran to be with the other departments?
Apparently these new “CEO” titles are based on benchmarks and supreme evaluation by OCD and their boneheaded kickbacks consultant partners.
Anyone with a pulse can see the issue at this place is TOO MANY layers of pointless management, not the opposite.
The Aramco org chart is the textbook example of a bloated, inefficient, c0rrupt setup designed to obfuscate and enrich cronies. Genuinely world leading in that regard.
Never heard of them. Description sounds like written by McK or BCG which means it’s a newly formed BS team to be in. You’ll be making PowerPoints and pushing weekly KPI “I kindly request..” emails to other gormless clowns in similar departments. It will be soul destroying.
Find an expat there already and get a phone call with them. My guess is they don’t have any.
I agree with what @hxg+1ngJFvDS said. Can you believe that, they just created a president/CEO for upstream & another one for downstream, & the 2 still reporting to the Saudi Aramco president/CEO. Clearly, they are running out of positions for their family members & friends!

I am pretty sure it's new. Saudis have been creating new areas left and right to give themselves promotions.
