Major IT LayOff pending in Q2-Q3, is that true?

The last response was right on. Wipro does not care at all about existing hard working employees. They exist to take over Medtronic and other companies. They place little to no experience workers in the place of ex employees. There have been numerous thefts of I.T. Equipment and no one seems to care or give account.
@1qbt+1oGR13x8 Since when have we been good about following regulations; see all our consent decrees...
Why Medtronic is not listed in any of the WARN reports?

Last week there were a few more layoffs in Sterilization, IT and HR . They are targeting managers as well as ICs
Layoffs will be a regular feature every couple of months now till Geoff gets the package he needs to buy more luxury properties like he currently has in Hawaii and Florida.
Eventually all jobs will be shipped to either India and Mexico. next few years are going to be really rough
My MDT colleague shared with me that while there’s continuous LayOff “of people - who actually do some sh-t” in IT but there’s constant efforts in retaining & promoting useless DEI people. This person went to talk with boss about wanting to send a DEI-person to PIP for failure to perform task and instead lectured down about promoting.
Please elaborate other experiences- thanks.
Good things Medtronic doesn’t do any R&D. Name one novel innovative product that Medtronic has developed in house lately. Don’t say the insulin pump, that’s just an iterative product. R&D to India, that’s great, let me know when they have a competitor to the iPhone 15 or make anything worthwhile. Most products based out of India have failed horribly in Western markets.
The US-based IT helpdesk is being outsourced in December. It has been forced to languish without the ability to replenish headcount for nearly a year so this development is not a huge surprise.
I would expect things to get worse in the coming months as they are expected to train their replacements in addition to their standard tasks.
The R&D work will be outsourced to India. The few R&D engineers in the states will just be checking their work.
Most probably not, Since It is mostly gutted anyway and offshored to wipro and Tata in India
I think R&D is next in line to be outsourced
There is always a layoff in Q4. You’re going to need to provide more information about what IT layoff you’ve heard about.
They already cut Global IT pretty bad during the last round of layoffs during the prior fiscal year. You’ll see this because most managers now have “contingent” workers underneath them that work for a company based in India (Cognizant or WiPro).
I think anyone who still works here know there is going to be another layoff and they aren’t really valued here, but if you have information that Global IT is going to cut more people to offshore to India, please share more details without revealing too much. Anyone who still works here sees in happening in real-time anyway because morale is low and contingent workers have only need to hit their SLA’s. They don’t care for Medtronic or your problem otherwise.
There are no doubt people from corporate who monitor this site, so only reveal information if you’re sure it can’t be traced back to you
