Things at PepsiCo have gotten so bad that it’s finally pushed me to take action. I’ve never been this motivated to look for a new job in my life. For the first time in years, I’m seriously putting in the effort to find something better, even if it means a pay cut. At this point, I just need to get out of here.

Wondering when mountaintop location will be back to work
Would love to take VRP. Wish they opened the program to ALL employees and not with age limit
I took the VRP this year. I would encourage everyone eligible to take it and move on.
@1psj+1w3hFKCJ Good luck to you in getting out of this shithole. Moving jobs to India and Mexico has only increased the total cost of doing things. Leadership is shooting itself in the foot. While moving some jobs made sense, the blindfolded approach of moving everything has led to a death spiral. Look at how inefficient the company has become. When GBS was formed, the metric they proudly used to report was “number of employees hired”. No capable leader in the company asked the question - how the f* that results in productivity or helps the top line
Our team was just - suddenly - “reorganized” - as usual right before Christmas- but why should that concern Ramon, Athena, the other big wigs and their band of “merry” leaders. Next step: we were told to document everything we do so apparently they can, under her guidance in S &T, figure out how to do our roles in India, MX or elsewhere cheaper than here in Chicago. This place is absolutely nauseating. The CEO just posted another end of year video about cooking with Lays. Perhaps instead of auditioning for Americas next best Chef, he should have addressed another “Lay” - as in “Lay” Off because that’s really what has destroyed what’s left of any moral in this house of declining organization. I’ve been heavily interviewing last few months. Got turned down for one job last week but honestly just going through the process is cathartic- a ray of light and hope in an otherwise very dark employment chapter of mine and most of us PepsiCo employees.
I took the VRP and left in November. I cannot encourage you enough. Life after Pepsi is ahhhh-mazing!
I’m thinking the same. The processes and workload are so horrible that I cannot sleep. It’s a bad environment. Negative numbers, dismal raise coming, and unhappy customers that are on me constantly to fix problems with credit, deliveries, and I have zero support from the spa box teams.
I took an almost 30k pay cut to get out of there and it was worth every penny. You won't regret it, and your mental health will thank you.
