My team is losing people left and right and much of this is rooted in BK spiteful remarks against the software developers. Why does BK hold so much animosity towards software developers?

Get over it. He’s not the main reason why people are leaving in droves. EMIT is done for anyways. Global services has IT as an area to cut before it’s ultimately done for itself. Best to get in this hot job market and ride the wave. I did and I leave next month.
Exact quote is
"If you think you can double your salary by going to Amazon, then good luck hotshot"
Haven't been here in a while. PiPed in 2020.
EMIT still exists it sounds like.
That's a surprise.
Seriously, get over it. I think the 50% increase in salary is the real core reason Devs are leaving. Stop your bu-t hurt whining over BK’s comment. Maybe in your everyone gets a trophy world what BK said is an outrage. For the rest of us in the real world he stepped on his di-k but we’ve all heard worse. And no, I’m not HR, GPA or a suck up. I’d love to see an external VP named out of the IT industry vs an EM exec punching his ticket.
BK is a dum dum. All he cares is whether he looks good or not, so do his underlings.
What was the exact quote?
What you guys don't know is that BK used to be a JAVA guru back in the days. Please do some research, educate yourself, and respect the man. He is simply disgusted with the amount of bad code being written by the millennials that can only do silly VB.Net.
No question his remarks have hurted EMIT and exacerbated the attrition problem. Its insult on top of injury.
At this point Id be surprised there are any software engineers left. Those who have stayed are probably unaware of what BK thinks of them.
