Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Positive or Bust

Culture has gotten to the level of toxicity that people who speak the truth are labeled as trouble makers, too negative, or just ignored. The people running / ruining this place have drank the koolade or are just being untruthful. I fear we are past the point of return. If you aren't willing to accept it and be happy about it, the only option is leaving. You cannot fix the culture from the bottom up.

The one who said that the supervisors or managers had have anything to do about EM culture, NSI or PIP is a complete and “entire” brownn@ser. Even they receive orders from the top, the one apply them are the managers and supervisor. In the way that they apply the orders goes beyond any kind of “justice” toward to the people who work for him.

Supervisors don’t have authority to change anything culture related. Neither do their supervisors. You have to go many levels up with how high decision making authority is held. This is why they get frustrated by folks consistently upset with the status quo and ask you to stay positive. They literally can’t do anything about your complaints.

@1pin Are you crazy? From the bottom up. We are the ones doing the work. If you want to improve a culture it starts at the top. Working in Annandale is dismal. I do as little as possible. I take their money and will continue to do less and less everyday I'm here. They gave golden parachutes to individuals who tore the place down. PA wing is a worthless joke. D O'R has got to go.

I disagree. Culture is indeed built from the bottom up. First lines have to make a change, and it starts with them truly listening to their teams.

The problem is that showing “courage of conviction” isn’t rewarded near to the extent that it should be…which breeds sheep.
