It's rumor HR will be going around next few weeks to talk to employees.

I also heard layoffs coming again in next couple months is why the big push for HR presence.

Now's the Time to Union. Save our jobs!

You do realize that nearly all of retail leadership (DM, GM, SM) were all sales reps at some point. You speak as if they haven’t been in your shoes.

You CWA loving people need to wake up! Seriously what did they get you? Protected jobs? Uh no, you had two of your precious stores still close right under you. Commissions stayed the same? Uh no, the union stores have the same commission structure. Better pay...post your contract on here and compare it to a non union store and don’t forget you pay dues! Wireless is not getting easier it is getting harder. Everyone has a phone and a tablet and a watch so the glory days of making a ton of money in wireless are over. I am happy making what I make with the benefits I have. I hear all the time I have great medical. They paid for my college (more than they pay at ATT, look at the contract). My SMs and GMs do the best they can and so do we for a company that is trying to not turn into a thing of the past. If you hate it so much, be a grown up and go work somewhere else but good look finding the entire package.

Have to agree with 4iux. The SM position is the worst position in retail. The GM’s honestly don’t do much compared to SM’s. The SM’s get blamed if the store is doing bad and if the store is doing well, the GM gets all the credit.

And a little know fact, we aren’t allowed to cuzz you but once you get above sales reps, all that HR appropriate c-ap is out the door.

Sales reps have no clue about pressure to succeed. Reps may worry about meeting quota and getting written up but when was the last time a rep you knew got fired. And then ask yourself when was the last time an SM got laid off. In my zone, that’s been twice in the past two years.

So much anger towards assistant managers.. not all of them are like that. There is a bunch of us in my district that are fed up with the way the DM runs it. I stand up for my reps, I refuse to do unnecessary harrassment type coachings, I reached out and have been working with HR about this, and I have been reaching out to the training department. So don't generalize every SM into one category please. I understand reps' point of view because I used to be one and didn't forget the amount of hard work it takes to be successful WHILE being an honest rep. At the same time, I don't tolerate shadiness and cheating, so those type of reps will get no support from me, and I will go after them for that kind of behavior (tbh I've been unsuccessful at this, it seems like HR will look the other way as long as those reps look good on scorecard and make company money. No amount of proof of unethical practices is sufficient to even put those reps on a write up). The whole system is so messed up that I feel powerless. Reps are the most protected employees, despite coachings and harrassment you talk about. Who got laid off last round? SMs, not reps (unless the whole store closed down). All stores now run on 2 SMs and a GM. You say we do nothing all day but who does all the inventory, merchandising, greeting (all of which used to be done by other dedicated employees in the past), plus normal SM duties like inventory management, escalations, fixing reps mistakes, side by side selling, reporting, running the store in general. And don't get me started on working bell to bells or 6 day weeks if one of the managers has to take time off and being told by the DM "figure it out". So let's not bash each other, SMs and reps, we should work together.

I really wish some “Brave” Solution Specialist Reps grow a lil bold & pretty much tell on every Manager who forces them to sell HUM, pull-throughs, sell unwanted AirPods etc and many other shady things abt the HR that how we are all harassed every day just bcz their bosses above them want those, then they come down on us pressurizing us to do Salesforce leads & harass the customer to the limit that they either say yes to the product or simply start complaining & yes then they stop & when we get a bad survey then its us anyways. The Assistant SMs are taking undue advantage of this fact that they dont have to sell anything they dont have sales targets they just make whatever we do. So beginning of the month its all abt ARD, TMP etc and in the end its all abt boxes??? What goes wrong when we think the same?? Got any answer?? Yeah I thought so the same. Honestly speaking, what do they do??? Realistically speaking, lets all b honest here. What do they do? 1. Clock in, 2. Look at Peak & find out who’s not making them enough money, 3. Figure a way to harass them through out their entire shift either verbally or mentally, 4. Sit around not doing JACK, 5. Make people put phones & accessories away etc, 6. Coachings: Not needed & unfair.

So one can see how difficult they make our lives by their BS stuff which in real life and/or professional life does not make any sense

Also this Gangster attitude, that if I want I can put one on a PIP( even though on people who bust their asses & by being silent on the ones whom they adore) Favoritism all the wayyyyyy.....

Then these guys say there shouldn’t b a Union. Tell us how there shouldn’t b a Union. Name me one reason u good for nothing Assistant SMs that Unions r bad, they even have a specialized weblink that has a video and their own version of showing how unions r bad based on cartoon picturization. Lmao 😂 😂😂 I mean ya’ll can do much better than dat bruh!! If ya’ll just simply s---, then admit it. May b ya’ll should b on the next PIP, but here’s where is gets interesting. Eventhough it doesn’t make literally any sense, just go out there & get them HUMs so that we can pay pur bills. WTF!!! People from management hardly have to go through any kind of BS like SSs do. Bcz they know Area Manager got their back, Manager got their back. Well guess what??? Who got our back?? Nobody, simply nobody. Why wouldn’t one join the Union? Name me one legitimate reason why we shoudn’t?

At the same time though, the other side where it even looks greener & even feels like it, AT&T’s Union just got their workers an amazing pay raise, undisputed commission structure which stays the same ( without no change unlike here), no harassments (every coaching, bs etc has to have recorded prood etc in the camera) or else they back off during any coaching, fair treatment( No favoritism) and many more. Its as simple as that. Do what ur supposed to do, sell go home. Let Assistant Managers do the rest or lets say at least let them get something do so u know what I mean. Then they say oh well, one has to pay dues. How big is $30 when one can actually work with their face up and not depressed all the time. Why won’t someone mention here that how compnay rapes us all off with th 40% tax on all our making. Oh btw Hatred comments r welcome, it will only prove it right. I mean at least cover up ur corruption guys.

One should just report all wrongdoings DIRECTLY, I repeat DIRECTLY to the VP level and/or HR and training level. Bcz discussing it with th Assistant Manager, Store General Manager or even the Area Manager or I would say even the DOS are all CORRUPT. I’ve even heard the conversations which they have which simply represent their money making and screwing the rest. So there we go. That’s what I call Bull’s Eye what’s gonna get them (unless they r corrupt too lol) or simply we should join Union to put an end to all this BS. And please do urselves a favor people. Actually ask people at AT&T abt how they feel abt the CWA, IBEW & the Union. Plz for god’s sake dont listen to the BS cartoonistic video which company has uoloaded on VZW webpage. Ur eyes will open, don’t just lok at what the due is, it cud even b cheaper where u r, but think what is it actually brining u. I hope that helps to raise a lot of awareness( NOT the Verizon Union awareness but an actual & truthful one).
