Ford is bleeding insane amounts of money without a clear roadmap to restore profitability

It's just a mess at Ford. Farley eliminates thousands of people, most were directly involved in the dev and engineering of vehicles and gets upset when no one gives him positive feedback at our Townhalls. We are told we're once again transforming to not only a tech based data/ subscr/ service company but we're also finally transitioning to EVs ( which we've heard before ( listen to the keynote at 2013 NAIAS ). Farley never had the confidence or trust from the bulk of employees or the investor community, hiring DF, a professional job hopper, outsourcing complex engineering as well as connectivity tech essential for the so-called data services gives us absolutely no competitive advantages. We bring in rejects from HP, Tesla, Disney, Renault who have produced nothing other than ' how might we ' decks. Product dev and almost all the programs are off timing, without any experienced ' talent ' to get them back on course. Anyone see the PXXX, WTF! Who is making decisions? And why arent leaders held accountable? And people wonder why there is so much anger and frustration. Look into the numbers, Ford is bleeding insane amounts of money without a clear roadmap to restore profitability. Everyone at Credit is nervous as well as Pro, TC has developed a nervous twitch as have JL and JB. FLV has wasted billions and hides. Our suppliers are laughing to the bank as they also bleed the company and poor Farley is upset for being criticized. Going to be a very nasty year ahead, PEPs are coming to NA and massive headcount reduction in EU.

I retired a few years back, mainly because the leadership void since M Fields was booted ...made it the wild west. Talent was forgotten and shiny powerpoints became the deliverable. Bring your teacher an apple, or get a whipping.
I worked through all the ups and downs and the good and poor leaders. Trust me, the sense you get when they are speaking is actually who they really are. Brilliant leaders and mindless drones - Ford has had both and too many of the latter.

Bleeding and wasting money is right. Look at the orgs, starting with Musgr@v3$ and DFord. Should be called d-mb ford. They wear you out talking and talking and talking, then run and hide when you tell them to do the work they talked about. Time their circus ring leader got exposed. More concerned with his ‘ resorts ‘ than his job at Ford.

A mess doesnt even begin to describe how bad Ford is. Phoebe, please, examine Next's leadership and probe into what they have done and what they are doing. Expose the fails of F Louis-Victor. Expose the fails of C Mr@n. And the fails of R Ms%r. None of them have added any value to FMC. Billions wasted. Id--ts brought in from FCA, GM, HP, etc etc. The shareholders need to know whats going on and there must be accountability and consequences.

Get your facts right on BlueCruise. CR also reported " Ford’s marketing of BlueCruise as a “hands-off highway driving experience” is potentially misleading to consumers. "
They tested it on a rented Mach E, while there were some advantages over Tesla's Autopilot and GMs system; GM is what CR preferred.
BTW the hundreds of thousands subscriptions are free trials similar to Sirius.
As far as other tech, there's nothing new and noteworthy being integrated into any of the production programs. Again, lots of talk and nothing is making its way into vehicles customers want.
Meanwhile, managers are freaking out knowing their necks will be PEP'd.

The new ventures of the Ford+ transformation are performing, and performing well. Just look at todays news about BlueCruise courtesy of Consumers Reports. #1 in the industry. Hundreds of thousands of subscription paying happy customers.

That is success in my book. With even more advanced offerings in this space that Doug Field and his team are ready to launch, watch for more positive news soon.

These are very dark times for Ford. Now is the time for a leader to step up.
Leadership is defined as one who provides a Vision and a plan on how to get there.
I feel like Stevie Wonder when I hear JF speak of a vision.

Also leaders do not insult their troops under their command. Instead they inspire them.
Motivate them. Give them a purpose a clear objective. Again JF has failed miserably at this.
I retired last year. I was able to see some good CEOs Peterson and Mullaly are at the top.
As for good managers as CEO that would include Red Polling , Fields,

Troutman was a nice guy but F2000 clearly demonstrated he was in over his head.

I know some will ask why I put Mark in the good manager classification. I worked with him at F200. Yeah he came across as arrogant at times. But he was not an id--t. If you watch his transformation when Billy ran the show to when Allan came in. You can see Mark was smart enough to see what a real CEO /Leader was vs. someone in over their head.
People forget Allan stated in a 2013 news conference he was not going to retire until 12/15. So something Billy did forced his to just say its time to go.
Allan was viewed as competent from a line worker to a Investment Banker. His Vison and plan you clearly understood. Plus he was an Engineer.
We focused on the FORD Brand. sold off JAG / VOLVO / Aston Martin / Land Rover.
Now fast forward after Allan we start to buy into very toxic business ventures CHARIOT / ARGO. And my favorite waste of money The Train Station. Bill should get the DARWIN award for that one. Wall St. completely gave him a pass for the dump.
As someone posted the other day in any big corporation or organization you will have things like Friends of the family & Quotas.. etc.. But we also had more competent people to make good decisions. I don't want to come across as a racist or s-xist. because my best boss was a African American female. No she did not get the job because she was black she got the job because she understood the commodity she was responsible for. In addition to that she had the best people skills when it came to managing and motivating people. Sad part she retired a few years ago.
So you see I have no problem with a minority or woman as a boss. Just make sure they are competent and have the right people skills to design and engineer Ford products.

I retired last year. my main reason was the lump sum. But I also lost faith and confidence in the senior management team. Instead of motivating people We have a Ja----s that talks down and acts like Mr. Know It All. So I ran my numbers and left.
If he was in Vietnam he would have been FRAGGED by his own troops.
No KARMA at all. His body language tells you he does not believe his own words. He lost the trust of the employees long ago. Peter DeLorenzo pegged him Long ago.
His accomplishments read like an Empty Shelf. And That is a Fact

I don’t know anything about Canopy so I had to look it up. Odd! Not much info on the home page, but they are certainly hiring. Wonder how much market share Ring has in this segment? Could Ford include that feature as a freebie in each new vehicle - say for 6 months?

Or Ford could do what GM is doing to OnStar (I.e. it is an option, but a mandatory one… LOL)

FLV and his cast of clowns are fakes. Mobilize did nothing for Renault and FLV continues the practice at Ford! C MO--N made a career of taking credit for other people's work and IMO will be Louis-Victor's fallguy for the epic fail of Canopy. There's another id--t from HP that FLV hates and needs to be removed. Another talker with nothing to show. Matter of time before WSJ or NYT exposes all the incompetence at Ford, that should wake Bill up.

It speaks the truth. Farley has accomplished nothing in his career, other than manipulating and backstabbing. Anyone who knows how to engineer, design and deliver quality vehicles has been ' separated ' replaced by so-called thinkers and talkers who deliver nothing but decks and ridiculous videos. I worked on trucks for a long time, we knew exactly what our customers want and delivered, it's frustrating to listen to a group of inexperienced pontificators who believe they have all the answers yet run and hide when its time to engineer and deliver. Everyone knows the ' transformation ' talk is BS, it's nothing but a smokescreen to eliminate older workers, I really wish WSJ or NYT would expose Farley so Bill would grow a pair and put someone in charge that really understands Ford and has a clear plan to restore profits. IMO, start with Next, the id--t brought in from Renault doesn't communicate, epic fail, as are his Directors.
