I'm a T Rate so I'm sure my notice is coming soon. It's okay because it will give me more time to spend with my girlfriend. Her husband is a D Rate and he'll be really busy at GE in 273 working that OT. She'll be spending his money on us. I'll be getting a steak dinner every night!!

I think most of the people who run their mouth on here either currently don't work for GE or never did. There are a few who seem to know what they are talking about.

It's not true they will never have a layoff at 273 and T rates don't count! They came from price choppers and stuff and are nothing you hear me? Nothing!!!!!!! T rates are nothing but a Union wage to a slug like salt on em. Signed a Rat Rate!

3sbj+155iFFrs— the won’t think twice about laying off at 273. Look at Fort Edward they sank millions into that place just to shut it down a year later. Look at the failed battery plant they sank millions and shut that place down. Look at the 125 year old plant in Pennsylvania they sank millions in that place and shut it down. So 273 is around 126 years old think about it.

@nzr+155iFFrs..Legacy Rates are the problem! Any reason you "studs" don't just retire and get the hell out of the way? I've worked (craft person) in Pittsfield, Waterford and Schenectady. With few exceptions all I've heard from senior (non-craft person) folks is "less work, more pay...less work, more pay" . Worst yet the union protects senior dumb–ses! Kick senior unproductive legacy rates to the street and those legacy's remaining will be far more credible.

@1mvv+155iFFrs- in your GE dedicated mind GE likes to play the smoke and mirrors game. Don’t worry t rate your $10 hr a job is waiting for you again.

The company shed some 78,000 jobs in 2019, a 28 percent decline. Through divestitures and layoffs. This is the new GE. Sell assets and layoff people. No mergers or acquisitions. Get used to it.

I hope everyone in Schnectady enjoys their paid Friday off. Dont forget GE never does anything without a reason, use the day to dust off your resume.

June/July for power layoffs will be a few here and then a few more. Good bye T Rates and good riddens back to the old bistro cafe with most of you the rest won’t be able to find a job with your skills. The Legacy Rates will have to save Schenectady once again.
