@1kit+1qNp706F, I'm not sure I understand your point

aside from a few statutory differences, it’s the same thing. State law can’t trump federal law.

First someone said it was a CA thing, then someone blasted them for saying it's not a state thing, but that it's a federal statue.

I responded that it's both (a CA law and a Federal statute). While state law can't trump Federal law, it can be more stringent as long as it doesn't contradict the Federal law.

Yes it will. Feb 14 will outline it all.

So there you have it folks. We have employees that can't even lookup the URL for WARN. Cannon fodder.

@1juu+1qNp706F, it IS a CA state law as well as a federal statute. Maybe you should look it up before commenting.

@1wlf+1qNp706F, use that thing called the Internet and search for it. Do you want the CA URL, it's above. If you want the Federal one, it's not much harder to find. You can even use Bing if you don't want to use Google.

WARN is a California thing, if it's in Cali, sure. If it's elsewhere, unlikely.

If 2/15 is the notice date, they’d set the effective date to 60 days later. Which complies with the WARN Act. I wouldn’t expect them to file it earlier.
