@1mnl
Reading comprehension goes a long way.
$17/hr and no benis. $17/hr with benis.....what is worth more? Is it worth taking an entry lever job at SF is a different question and for some having health insurance makes it worth it for others not so much.

@dkh- 401k? How much can someone making $16 or $17 an hour afford to put in a 401k? There is no longer a pension as of 1/1/2021, so is that dental, eye and medical worth the stress of that metric driven meat grinder that pays "chump change?" I say no, what say you?

No you wait. We didn’t have the same workloads, metric expectations that CS’s have today. We also went through a great hands-on training program . You had to pass or you were done. Experienced CS’s today have the most complex claims and every minute of helping new hire puts them behind. The job requires you to self-train. Our dismantled HR is now taking resumes with one key skill “I am breathing”!

Wait! Are you suggesting all new hires are not fully trained on arrival and fully conversant in their new role? I know you were when you started😂

The new hires don't have to know anything. They'll have word tracts, the SCPs to refer to and the new MAX AI claim program telling them what to work, what to say and how to handle the cookie cutter claims. What could go wrong. Can't be any worse than what's in Fire Stewardship now. I'm just waiting for the State Farm claim organization to just collapse upon itself anyday.

@qbc you may be right but compensation is more than just hourly pay. Does McD's provide health, dental, eye and a 401k? I would not take an entry level job with SF in this day and age but you need to compare apples to apples for compensation.

NO NO! Don't sell your heart to the devil unless you like to cut deals with him.

Good luck with the chump change they are starting these peons with. They can flip burgers for a dollar less an hour in some places.

Well if you worked claims and had seen no replacements for normal attrition and more and more people leaving due to pressure cooker environment, you would upset with upper managements lack of attention. On top of that, these new hires will not be productive but be an added burden to the rest us for least two years. Your statement is uninformed. Those of us in claims have a vivid memory of being told that a lack of staffing would not occur again. That was in 2017 and here we are. Pennywise dollar foolish!

Has State farm ever NOT been hiring?

We need to replace those who don't want to work here either.

EVERY company is hiring these days.
