Good luck to you GNU C programmers working on the ancient code base. Your skill set is irrelevant in the local job market. If you're lucky you will get a gig doing maintenance work for garbage wages. Could have kept your skills current with a modern C-derived language but that would have required effort.

Xerox direct employee, and I didn't think it would be possible for things to get worse, but they did.

Massive parts and supplies constraints last year have led to overstock in the supply chain. So what do we have to do now? You guessed it - decrease field inventory to make up for it. So customers that were impacted by down devices last year could potentially go through it again in 2023 while we put the squeeze on order fulfillment.

Salary increases - what a joke. But they have been for years so nothing new there.

401k matching ONLY came back because the majority of employees have stopped contributing, or reduced their contributions, in order to pay for their daily expenses caused by rising inflation. So when SMW says "we're keeping the match for you" you should know that it's only because the "matching" amount is much, much less than it would have been in the past.

They have sold off receivables in order to bring in much needed cash. Does that sound like a company that's in good shape? It's usually one of the last steps before BK.

So, no - things are not better. In fact, they will probably get even worse in 2023 as the company tries to cut more costs.

You guys are done. Fish food at this point. You’re destroyed and somehow you don’t know it yet. Very truly sad.

@1mic+1l3NBbPs, Absolutely correct. Xerox in the process of going, “Friendsys.” The end times can really take the edge off.

It's better in the sense that we all realize that no one cares any longer. It makes things so much easier.

Slowly getting better. Not as doom and gloom as previous years. I saw a few people get hired recently which should help out in our region.

The flash and dash are long gone as well as thousands of employees. Pay is low, benefits are lower and frustration level is high.Doing more, more ,more with less, less , less seems to be the mantra. Management by musical chairs
