I feel like there is a subtle steady increase in pressure to work more, and tasks somehow require longer hours. My team can definitely use more people. We are not slackers or anything, and yet we find ourselves regularly working more and harder just to meet targets. I’m afraid this is the upward trend, not the usual seasonal spike or regular longer hours that were a norm before.

DW, KM, and the whole of ExxonMobil can go straight to He11. The quicker they lay me off the better. F#kk you all!
One of my handlers stated the work still needs to get done no matter what. They meant in spite of vacations. This wonderful person calls people on their vacations and expects them to answer questions and do work. I turn my phone off and do not answer. Some of the younger ones cater to this person and work on their vacations. I give 40 to 44 hours a week but I know some who work 30 to 35 hours per week. I know a few who just sit at their desks for 8 hours a day and do nothing. I refuse to do anymore than i am now. They promise the young ones promotions and leadership positions if they exceed expectations . I need none of this BS.
@OP and everyone else,
Your compensation is calculated based on a 40hr working week. Your employer pays for one scoop, so give them one scoop. If they want more they can pay more.
They can keep offshoring jobs too. The (extremely) poor quality of overseas output has led to a small bo-m in consulting, often at equal or greater cost to the company that sent jobs overseas to begin with.
insecurity that your made up job will be moved once decision makers understand how made up it is
@1mai+1vCu6L5A 70 hours every 2 weeks
@1mai
OK Darren
70 hours should be ok
I am quite the opposite.......company don't really care about my well being, then there is no reason to care about theirs. Just smile, pretend to be positive, and when things fails.......throw up your hand and say it is out of your control.
Just say no.
PE roles in Product Solutions already start shedding to KL...and also they are spinning up BTC as well.
I keep saying no to irrational check-the-box requests, and it feels good, it's good for the company too
Ignore the request, you pay 3rd tier to your HC10 employees, you get 3rd tier commitment.
We want the technology center to pull its weight but they su-k so bad and we eventually have to do their work for them
