I was very happy when I got a job at NCR, but at that moment I urgently needed any job and source of income. However, spending more than two years here, isn't that a waste of time? I am not satisfied with the opportunities I had to upgrade my skillset here. Exactly the opposite.

Looking to move on especially with all of this transition talk. I don’t want any surprises and trying to be ahead of the game. My TL is a decent person outside of work but reporting to him is a different story. Does not care about customer service which I have a big problem with. His life is dedicated to his job NCR which is sad if you ask me. Not the way I want to live companies will take advantage of you and make you feel bad in the process. Really hope for a layoff so I’m not considered for this going forward plan. Very actively trying to move on in the meantime.
You should not be expected to carry/answer your work phone when on an off day or outside of scheduled work hours period. (Unless on availability)
NCR tries to “skirt” around this by having fellow hourly teammates call. This is to avoid potential backlash of a TM reaching out to off the clock workers. FYI NCR has been sued multiple times for unpaid wages in the last 25 years…..you would think this lesson would be learned by now.
its a call out.
If they call you, and your not working
they should and they do know better...
In workday you put AV2 for that day they called,
if you answered the phone, it is call out, minimal 2 hours of OT
Have a question and hoping someone has some insight. Last weekend my coworker was off and not on call. He thought he was clear but his work phone had missed calls from my Team Lead and TM. Being hourly are they still able to call on your day off? This happened to me also but I answered as he left me a voice mail related to a question about a Training class. Just checking as I’m not sure this is worth going to HR for. The TL told my team member he should keep his work phone with him all the time in case he gets a call.

Trust no one. Even your TM is being lied to. He just doesn’t hasn’t admitted it to himself yet.
I agree and needed the job at the time after being let go by MTech. A lot of pressure when you carry benefits also. This place is going downhill quickly and I am looking elsewhere. Job market is tougher now a lot of places don’t reply back after submitting your application and resume. Keep plugging away while you’re still working here to get something better. Is it me or is every Territory restricting OT? Our TM told us this is company wide restriction for January due to demand. Not sure I believe it but if anyone has heard the same.
I agree with the last comment just don't stay too long or they'll hypnotize you into thinking they care about you and have your best interests at heart. Bang, 20 years go by and you're stuck like so many there, poorly trained and experienced with only their garbage products. Bottom line, NCR is no longer a decent or honorable employer. At the end of the day its management cares only about stuffing as much loot in their pockets before their dream job is over and oh yeah sc--w you. You'll see this first hand when you get crumbs this year for a 2022 bonus and the LT members take MILLIONS while crying how bad a year it was. Find a job that offers a pension for instance with Fed or State. Only 3% of employers still offer a pension but those jobs are out there.
Your time is not wasted as you needed a job. Two years is good on a resume. I’d say start looking while you still working. You owe it to yourself too just use NCR as a stepping block in your career.
