Another waste of money is the Ford Campus. Can anyone tell me why they added these ugly parking structures? We now have less than 4000 employees than we had 6 months ago. Why do we need empty parking structures? Ford could have moved its entire research and development to the nearly empty Fairlane Town Center and save millions of dollars. The entire campus (and Ford leadership) is a joke.

GM had to return people to the Ren Cen because of tax breaks they were given. Ford never had anyone in the train station so they won't have the same issue.
Got rid of 4000 employees and then hired the employees from Argo, recruited from colleges, and added jobs via agency. The plan was always to get rid of older people and recruit younger people...not to cost save.

The Dearborn campus was planned to hold about 1/2 of the Dearborn employees at the time of ground breaking. The reduction in staff just means less satellite buildings.
The gas bags are themselves a literal waste of money!!!

Yeah they still haven’t shifted from the Hackett thinking where he was going to force everyone to park in the structures and then hop onto ford AV shuttles that dropped them at their work location. Another professor moonbeam clusterF, like the open office everyone sitting elbow to elbow.

You answered your own question. Ford is a joke. The campus transformation had been planned for years, so they couldn't react to changes on direction. The result will be parking lots and structures that will sit empty. Of except when we roll out a new model launch and have to fill those lots and structures with vehicles that were built incorrectly! We suck. I'm only staying as long as I can milk the cow. Once the company is on the edge of collapse I'll put in for a lump sum retirement. I give us 4-5 more years.
